Amazing little game! I loved the gameplay loop, it got a bit difficult at times but that's part of the fun! I also noticed a few bugs, like if you ignore the message to eat something yourself, it'll flip as you move. No bugs that distracted from being able to fully enjoy the game though! Loved it!

Going to play your game right now!

Here you go! I'll try and check out your game too!

That game had me stressed by the end lol! The minigames were a lot of fun and the graphics breaking down as time went on was really fun. Wish the pizza minigame was a little bit longer so that your art could be appreciated a bit more, loved the whole game!

Rated your game had a blast!

This game was astonishing, the level of detail to each aspect and how you made so many things work well for you was great. I loved the story as well! Amazing job!

A nice little zombie shooter that works well for what it is. The pause menu didn't cover the full screen though. Overall I really enjoyed playing, I only got to raid 5 before the zombies snuck up behind me lol

This game felt so polished and well done I have trouble believing it was done in 4 days! Absolutely splendid work, my favorite looking game I've played so far. My only critique is that it's too short! I need more cat antics!

Loved the atmosphere of the game as well as the look, I'm sure it could be something awesome! Plenty of time before the next game jam to fix it up!

The multiple endings on yours was really cool to see

Absolutely loved playing through this, and the fact that there were multiple endings was really nice! A bit slow on replay but otherwise loved it! Hope to see more work from you guys!

Mine has pixel art as well! Though it was pretty rough at times, first attempt at most of this kind of stuff under such a crunch.

Absolutely loved this as a concept and the gameplay loop was addicting, the controls felt amazing it felt all around extremely polished. I'd love to see some more content for the game, perhaps different upgrades as time went on to better deal with the hordes of enemies, but it was an amazing play! Great job!!

Would absolutely love to play some other people's games too!

Loved the graphics and I got way too invested in it too quickly lmao. I love the upgrade system I just wish I could take one more hit before having to restart

Some of those minigames kicked my butt! The speed got so fast but I really enjoyed the rhythm game. Very well done!

Will also try and play some games here later!

Will be rating lots of games later!

My game is at https://dwilliams62.itch.io/shelter-seeker and would love an honest review! Any constructive criticism would be great so I know exactly where to improve next time!

Thank you!

Thank you for your comment! I also really liked the different environments and wish I could have fleshed them out a bit more, but we all need to start somewhere right?

Thank you for the review! I really wanted to implement a stun feature into the game like you suggested, but didn't have the time and picked polishing over a new feature. Next time I'll be able to better manage my time.

Thank you for the kind words! I meant to add some more content into the sections that lull a bit, but didn't have the time. Definitely see how some sections drag on a bit though.

Lovely little game and quite difficult at times! The only objective being staying on the screen is simple but a lot tougher than you'd think. I couldn't get much more than 10 letters but had a blast trying

Had an absolute blast playing this game and would love to play more of this world after it's been fleshed out more! The mix of 2d and 3d was pretty great, though I was able to get out of bounds by going through a house in the area with a lot of houses. I really enjoyed the platformer aspect and the especially the level in Lisa's brain with the raining words, was very unique way of handling an obstacle! My only true critique is how short it was and hope that this is remedied with a future release! Amazing game overall and would love to play more.

The dialogue with the flower was quite funny, as well as dying to Barry B Benson. Great start to a game, just has a few bugs to fix and a few areas to flesh out a bit. Fell through the map, and the game over screen didn't let me try again, as well as mouse sensitivity and movement speed being a bit high. Had a lot of potential and would love to see more!

The core gameplay loop of this game was amazing. In the first run I did I managed to save six people, and it was mainly so low as I was still getting used to the controls. Something that would help is a longer first day for you to get used to the controls, a way of telling how long until night and what night you're on would also be nice. It was also so dark I could only see the enemies when the sun came up, would have been nice to have a more solid idea of what I was up against. Also, sometimes villagers would get stuck behind the barricade option and without a way to rotate the camera it was hard to select them. Despite all this I still had a ton of fun, the opening sequence with the camera movements was excellently crafted, and the most important part was that the game was a lot of fun to play. If this game was fully fleshed out beyond a game jam I would certainly play it again!

Loved the concept of the game as a whole. However, the game was a bit hard to play, with picking up the sugar cubes being a tough process, let alone getting four at once all the way to the store. The winding roads were a bit confusing with not many distinguishing features, but the map elements that were there were well designed. I especially like the store and the placement of the sugar cubes once they made it to the store as an idea, despite the execution being a little off. I was unable to figure out how to finish the game, and had to restart a few times due to not being allowed to pick up any sugar cubes any more.

All in all, I loved the idea of the game and would love to see it developed further! Great start to a future minigame.

This is also my first game jam! Just submitted mine, https://dwilliams62.itch.io/shelter-seeker, and I'm excited to start playing through the submissions! @leoseverini I saw your updates in the discord and the finished game looks really good!
