How does your game fit the theme?
The storm within the theme "Calm before the storm" is taken literally, with the calm being a fun day at the beach that is interrupted by an impending storm, causing flying debris and forcing you to seek shelter.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all code and assets are made from scratch within the 7 day period, outside of sounds which are under open licensing and free to use.

Idk why, but I laughed a lot when I saw the cows being taken by the storm lol. Just wished that every different object would have their own impact sfx. First try btw lol

It follows you until the end of the earth :D , it starts easy and it gets very fun after cars start flying, and flying cow was very funny great job

Fun little game!
I like its premise, of needing to escape the storm, and being cornered by all natural elements!
The difficoulty spike in the game is very high tho. In the first part you don'e even mind the beach balls being flung around , dealing only 1 damage, but the last part is super tight, with a billion cars to dodge that deal lots of damage! But I managed to reach the end. Phew! (even if this makes the gameplay pace a little strange, guess it's extra points for the theme, as the first parts are definitely calmer than the end ones!)
The wave sprite could be a little bit longer to the left, for now it seems more like a death beam than a wave.
But overall, very fun, obstacle dodging game. Had fun playing! :)
the pixel art really gives the game a sort of 'retro arcade' type of feeling! i like the simplicity of it, the addition of the cow projectile was super funny to me. great effort! i think this concept has a lot of potential and you did a great job for the 1 week timeframe :DD

Love the style and feel of the game, My only suggestion would be that those flying obstacles could be more punishing. Other than that, I really like the player character and the various environment designs
I can see the makings of a fun and addictive game here :D. I managed to survive for 10 minutes. This game reminds me of one those old, kinda simple games like flappy bird. The sound effects and artwork are wonderfully done. It would be cool if there was a score or something, maybe like tracking your distance. I think some music would also elevate the game. Overall good and enjoyable game : )

Really enjoyed the variety of environments and the increasing intensity as the storm approached! The flying debris added a lot of excitement. I agree with others that a stun effect when hit by obstacles could add more tension. Overall, it was fun, and I loved the quirky elements like flying cows! Great job, especially for a 7-day project!

Run for your life haha, some of the art I did not know what it was at all haha in the stone area. I made it to my house (I thought I never made it xD) Idk was it a wave that was following me cause maybe add extra blue in the back so it still looks like water and not a stroke of blue cause I could see the back xD.
Overall nice game to play and laugh with to see flying cows or cars xD

Simple but fun, nice job, liked the different environments and the increasing difficulty and damage of what comes at you while trying to go fast enough to run away from the storm.

Nice mini game. The gameplay is good.
I think you don't need health point, if the moving object stun you for a bit , it could make the waves more frightening.Could also be great to have zone that slow you down or boost you., it will add some variety.
Overall that was a pleasant to play. Well done.
Thank you for the review! I really wanted to implement a stun feature into the game like you suggested, but didn't have the time and picked polishing over a new feature. Next time I'll be able to better manage my time.
The game if fun to play but maybe a little bit long to finish. But is a quite good game it fit with the theme. you can be proud for what you've done. Good game and keep create games.
