It’s something I’m aware of now, but I don’t know how to go on with the situation. If a samurai is supposed to kill the front unit, it can be saved with a heal, so for example:

  • Enemy has a Paladin
  • Samurai dies, attack front unit for it’s health
  • Since the Samurai died, the Paladin heals the front unit
  • Front unit gets a killing hit, BUT the Paladin heals it for 1
  • Front unit lives with 1 health

I don’t know if this is a strategy that can be used against Samurai so it should stay, or the Samurai should kill the enemy no matter what.

“the turn-based combat exist” got me! Yes the second part was rushed sadly and a lot of interesting concept got thrown away. I’m thinking of either making it an auto battle, or I thought of making it focus on more on the resource management somehow. I’m glad I could throw it together in this limited time, but it’s far from what it meant to be. I’ll definitely revisit this project.

Thank you! Procedural gathering was the first plan, and a “special event” between fight where you have a chance to spend/regain resources. Hope I can add it after the jam!

Loved it! Didn’t know what was happening at first, but I quickly understood the concept. Super fun!

Thanks! Yes the enemies got rushed at the end and a bug snuck in :/ Sadly this lock away the other 2 enemies and makes the game unwinnable. Will fix after them jam!

Yes, I love the “gather, then use what you have” games. I haven’t seen one in a turn-based/rpg style-

I might come back to this mechanic later. I see potential in the mechanic, but I’d have to think about how to make it a “full” game.

Thank you! I got comfortable in this style and it’s simple enough for me to do it quickly. This is my first 3 hours jam and the “win screen” got thrown in at the last few minutes so it’s buggy :/

Nice game, cool idea

I like the movement :D It’s fun. My only issue was I didn’t know what the pickups/checkpoints were when I first saw them.

With the double jump you did a great job, I had a feeling it’s gonna be a double jump since the obstacle required it, but the fuel I only understood at the second one.

But great job!
