This game has no originality at all ; all "classic" ingredients from another famous game is in, nothing more, nothing less. BUT that's why I do love the game, it's just perfect fun for a casual gamer like me. I've been waiting so long for this update ! Here are 4 bugs I've seen fo far :
- when an enemy dies from reflect damage, next enemies won't act, and it's not your turn so... soft lock
- shroud doesn't seem to work (I still get wound and atrophy from enemies)
- while choosing an artifact, wanted to see my deck, when i left the deck view, came back to map but couldn't click anywhere
- very small bug : sometimes, when choosing player and looking on starting powers/artifacts, popup of explanation won't disappear until starting gauntlet

one of the best games since slay the spire ! we all want more :) of all 3 cards we can get at the very beginning, the one that increase damage seems really more powerful than the 2 others. The toothpick one is nice but not that useful, getting rotten toothpick is hard, cos you gotta have 2 cards in hand. The drawing card would be ok if a card would be drawn every card played after the fourth. Anyway, the first choice of card is a very good idea, it's like a "choose your class" from classic rpg.
Dunno for you folks, but sometimes, when closing and reopening my laptop, my cantrip window is small on the desktop and i can't click in it anymore. I discovered that the old keyboard shortcut for fullscreen on Mediaplayer (Alt+Enter) works ! It can also be used to enter/exit fullscreen mode quickly.
3 last things :
- Spider reward is insanely good compared to Gerblin and Kobold ones (i'm always disappointed not to meet spieder in a game)
- please write current win streak even if it's 1, so we know we're in a winning streak ; motivates to start the game even if card draw is meh
- what if winning game gives like 1 life, so if you lose next game, u're still on winning streak ? u win 1 life per win, lose one per loose. That's what i currently do, but on paper :) It's motivating to reach a higher winning streak. For me at least.
Hi Joeri, thanks again for this great game, it's a perfect time filler, just addictive enough to play regularly (highest winning streak is a good feature), but not too much to be time consuming :)
Since you're writing you're planning a new release (great !) here are some remarks :
- Kobold has fishy chest in deck but reward is fire trap. Intended ?
- When poison the well ends, wrong player name ("the putrid scent around player dissipates", shouldn't it be around enemy ?)
- Would be great to announce on effect cards which ones stack (venomous bite, healing rain, volley) or not (every other ? life link, poison the well, dark pact, lichen curse, wellspring)
- backstab : this card doesn't only ignore shield priority, it avoids shields if possible. Change text ?
- shadow twin is buggy when played before some cards (transmute, others i don't remember)
- radiant burst is a bit powerful for uncommon (but i like that :) ) compared to seance (rare) for example
Suggestions :
- Mind Flyer is the hardest opponent imho, should be a final boss
- Unplayable cards could be droppable, or have same priority as shields, cos it makes them weak with shields in hand
- Starting hand could be choosable (choose class : thief, warrior, mage... ?), having always shields limits strategy a bit

Bought full version 2 days ago, finished story right away :) gotta start again to get second ending. Questions :
- will the witch get her own story ?
- will i get second ending playing with witch ?
- wondering if the "salazar will remember that" is important or not ? (for the story i mean)
Remarks :
- really understood strategy, now, and really got hooked !
- very nice story ! the 2 other playable chars fit very well in the story
- barbarian is really badass when helmet is upgraded twice
- nice difficulty, especially first playable char. infinite restart with no penalty makes difficulty worth it.

ok some things :
- i installed demo1.6 on 1.5 with overwrite (hoping to keep saved games), game didn't start (using windows 10)
- i deleted everything, reinstalled 1.6 in same directory, game started, old saves from 1.5 still available
- loading old saves didn't get me anywhere, still stuck, so I started all over
- saw new monster (rat) and a strange thing in dialiogs : "salazar will remember that..." meaning my choices in dialogs might influence what happens later. Nice :)
Will the purchase of full version contain future releases ? Love your work !
It's a great game, once you've understood the rules. 2 suggestions :
- I'd like to be able to keep the scimitar for myself ; even if i don't fight the merchant and buy the scimitar for 60 gold, I must give it back to the other merchant for 20 gold. It's really curious, for a barbarian. And in general it would be nice if cards could be quest rewards.
- maybe use a different name for items that disapear immediatly when used (sausage, baguette) and for items that don't (meat, bandages)

Same here ! Well maybe not exactly ; my whole combo was Shadow twin/Dark Pact/Transmute, and i got only 1 card back, too, and 1 damage, i think, though i would have thought that i'd make 2 damage per card drawn.

Yeah i'm playing with sealed deck right now, it's very fun but quite easy to win though :) get some wellspring/dark pact/lichen curse/catalyst and of course as many transmute as possible, you'll win every game on turn 1. Nice addition to this is lunar surge with shadow twin or raise the dead, and bing, radiant burst :)

didn't try that new version yet because after reading how you designed cantrip i started playing Slay the spire, and got hooked :) Just want to tell you yes, your game is similar to STS regarding dynamic deck building, but having Health equal to cards in hands is a unique concept from you.
I agree about volatile mixture, but spiked shields, maybe since (as the owner of the shield) the player is on the "other side" of the shield, maybe it would be ok to take no damage from it.
It just doesn’t make much sense and is overly punishing.
Well, if it was only one shield, why not, but with shield priority, all shields to damage to yourself at once, yeah this is overly punishing :)
Request for next release : a possibility to see graveyard cards from last turn, because sometimes with multiple damage it goes very quickly and we can't see all of them.
I'm currently trying to build a shield deck, based on shield, shields up, embed spikes and shield bash, with few cards to cycle fast and take advantage of damage stack. I played 2-3 games like this, not very successful. Then I started this game well, battle 1-1 with 2 shields 1 damage and 1 shield 2 damage. But my attack was blocked by fire trap, so I had a shield burning and boom ! The burned shield made 1 damage to me, and all shields made damage to me recursively and I died ! If a shield with damage can make damage to its owner, then it's a very dangerous strategy ! Esp. because all shields do damage at once due to shield hit priority. I suppose i would have such problem also with venomous bite, poison the well and so... ? Is this intended ?
I have beaten the Lord of Lightning ! Still haven't met the third one... Nice story, I see how you build it up depending on previous fights and final boss. I saw a new card for the 1st time : expand mind, but didn't take it. I tend to build my strategy by refusing many draws. One question though, for curiosity : do the "treasure" draws depend on the ennemy just killed ? Seems so...
Hi, thanks for the update ! Still wasn't able to beat the game in this version yet, but trying ! I love the balance. Some remarks/questions with numbers, not every one needs an answer.
1. Fullscreen setup not saved again (was in previous version, with no maxed windows problem)
2. Geez, the story seems to lead me to Void Priest every time !
3. From what you told me, backstab text should be sth like : do 2 damage, ignoring shield priority
4. AI shouldn't play a second quickshot once it saw that the first one was blocked by a shield (the hunter)
5. Nice idea to stack damage with shields. But shouldn't it lose its damage when going to graveyard ? wasn't it like that before ?
6. I tried your suggestion : barter and corrupted aether, great ! some full moon helps, too.
Third time I reach final boss... third time it's Void Priest ! Geez I'd like to meet the 2 others... This time he used call of the void on me (with nice combo : lunar surge / raise the dead / lunar surge / call of the void) and since I had no attack card nor steal card in hand... I was doomed ! Still having fun, ty again for this game :)
