Thanks! I wish I could find a better “bouncing” noise, but I couldn’t so that throws off the atmosphere a little bit. Glad you liked it though! :)

Thank you! My buddy Joseph has done all my music. He does really nice stuff. Since breakout is an easier game to make, I spent a decent chunk of time trying to get the visuals decent.

Thanks! Fun fact: the bubbles in the background were done first as an attempt at “bubble-like movement”. Glad you liked! :)

Thanks! This is the first jam I’ve done where the limitation didn’t really affect my pre-planned idea.

Thank you! Yeah, I was going to make an animation of the bubble coming out of the platform, but didn’t have time. I only had a day and a half due to some bad planning on my part. Glad you liked it though! :)

Ahh understood. I didn't think that far into it :P

Woah, this was good. Hard, but good. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to pick up the astronauts, so I didn't :)

I get the game, but I'm not seeing the limitation (unless I'm missing something). Music was nice. Art wasn't bad but it was hard to read the tiny tiles.

Nice work. The only thing I was slightly annoyed with was the jump sound having a slight delay. Other than that. Great work!

I really enjoyed this game. There was a decent amount of levels for the amount of polish there was. Also the music was soothing.

Wow. This game was great. It almost made me rage quit a couple times, but great nevertheless. The sounds were great, art was great, transitions were more than most people have time for :P

Nice work! I really like the artwork and unique sound choice. I had some issue sticking to the side of some blocks though.

Really cool concept. I didn't have anyone to play with, but I could tell this game would be super fun. Great work!

Go to Edit > Project Settings > Player. All the way at the bottom, change compression from Brotli to none. It'll run WebGL then.

#ToTheMoon

Really cool concept. This game was a lot harder than I was expecting.

I found myself sitting there without moving seeing how high the balls would stack. I think a slight randomization in the starting velocity of the balls would have went a long way. I played a couple times and had some good fun.

Good stuff. It took me a minute or 2 to figure out why I wasn't starting (I skimmed the instructions but missed that part). I thought B was jump and I was wondering why I wasn't jumping. But I eventually figured it out. I like this game. It was simple, but pretty fun to play.

Thanks for the feedback! No, there is not an end. Everything is randomly generated, so it goes forever. However, I didn't put caps on any skills, so for example if you but like 12 Move Efficiency upgrades, you will eventually gain power from moving alone.

Hello!

I am here to suggest (and get feedback) on a daily task system.
I think it would be really cool to have 3 tasks that would reset/switch daily. These tasks would be just like normal tasks you get from NPCs, but you get them automatically. They could give 3x the rewards of normal tasks, since you can only do the 3 per day. These tasks would also be for around your level only. So if you are level 50, you may get Imps, Nobles, and Spirits.
I feel like this sort of feature would bring people back to the game everyday, and give people a reason to grind certain mobs that they otherwise wouldn't.
I would love to hear some feedback or additions to this suggestion. :D

Thanks for the feedback!

The islands were going to have more “monsters” but I didn’t have time to add them. But as is, I agree with you.

Just got a chance to watch the vod. Thank you for all the feedback!

I noticed you kept getting lost when you went the the islands, so I could have made that a little more clear where to go

it is dependent on where in the screen you click.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, time was not on my side this jam. I planned on adding sound effect, but only got the attack one in.
The Dash out of map bug was also noticed about an hour before submission, but the only fix I can think of was adding bigger colliders or scaling down the player. (since colliders were the size of a single tile)

Not sure why you are so aggressive on that point. I don't know what to tell you, I play the game and pre-update, I didn't use a single potion unless it was in pvp. I was EXPing just fine both solo and in a team of 3 without using any potions. Meditation + Mana Blessings was OP and I'm glad it was toned down a bit.

Thanks for your input. I agree with you that Alchemists got a bad nerf this patch, but it's all in the name of balance. Before this update, there was little to no reason to play a mage because Alchemists did near the same amount of damage as well as never using a single mana potion.

As far as the icons go, I hope a change is coming to those. I get that it's hard to see. Not only because the positioning changed, but it's also hard to see the icon now due to the timers.

Thanks for your feedback. We will bring these points up in the next meeting.

Thanks for the feedback! There is a lot of empty space because I was going to include smaller enemies, but didn't get around to it.

Nice art and concept. Wish it was longer

Great Concept

Great art, Great sounds, Great music. The gameplay felt a little slow at first, and when it finally picked up, there wasn't enough space for me to pick up the things before they disappeared. Made me feel like I was missing out on a higher score even though I wasn't doing anything wrong. Maybe make the things count faster.

You can go any way from the beginning. Which one did you try first? (they all have different mechanics)

Friendly reminder that http://kakeledb.com/ will be updated once the new update goes live in game.

We are still working on quests overall, but they will be coming soon.

Hey! Thank you for the suggestion. I can definitely get behind this.
I think additional stats are a great way to customize your character to make it a personal build.

Overall, very thought out suggestion with a lot of potential.

Thank you! I'm a puzzle enthusiast so I tried to make them somewhat difficult :P

Nice work. Some more work could have been done to make the matches happen even if the player didn't move them (like a combo type thing) and it took me a little too long to realize the match had to be horizontal, but besides that, great work

As people that don’t like to refer to people as “dumb” say, “He just has a different view on life” 😂

Sometimes a different perspective is a very good thing.

I suffer from the most common color blindness. Red/Green color blind. I have issues differentiating:

Yellow from green if it’s a light green
Brown from green if it’s a dark green
Orange from red occasionally
And shading in general is pretty rough.

I wouldn’t be able to tell you what colors are used in this game. For a completely color oriented game, I would go with very distinctly different colors. I did a color game for this jam and did very bright red, yellow, and blue. This should help with the majority of colorblind users.

Great work. Design was solid, art was great (the puzzle sword was probably my favorite part of the game xD) and the sounds were good. The timer snuck up on me at the end, and I wasn't quite able to finish.

The only complaint I have, is I would expect the tiles to turn clockwise. Not sure why I had that mindset, but it really screwed me up the whole time.

(1 edit)

1. Yes, I added sounds and my buddy made the music since you have played.
2. I did add I think all the suggestions you gave
3. I did slightly change level 3 but it was only aesthetically. There was a weird bug where the button rendered behind the blue platform.
4. I didn't know about the fading particles. I'll definitely look into it for the next jam or if I revisit this one
5. I had a short Coyote time when you play tested, but I remove it do to a weird double jump bug. (I fixed the bug and forgot to put it back in)
6. Watching you soft lock your self in the same spot twice was fantastic. That lock was intentional.
7. Watching you finally figure out the solution was great. YOU DIDN'T NEED TO RESTART AFTER THAT MISSED JUMP!
8. Button text tip is a good one. Noted.

Thanks for taking the time to make a video for it. 100 times better than just writing a comment. Watching you work through the puzzles was a cool experience.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure you pointed out the SINGLE barrier than I accidentally put in front of a ground platform. The one on the last level lol. But yes, looking back, I should have put all of the colored barriers behind the frame

Couldn't really play it. Not a great game for the colorblind xD
