Once you get the hang of it, it's actually quite fun, just took me a while. :D

But in the end it gets too caotic for me pretty fast. Also I frequently clicked the wrong pieces because they overlap.

I love the color scheme, and the simple and clean art style, though.

Thank you for playing and the feedback :)

Amazing aesthetic, good work, I am doing video impressions/thoughts/feedback things. I got a pretty good score I think.

Thank you a lot for taking so much time for reviews! I’ve seen a couple of your previous ones and they are always full of good comments. The same here.

I am taking quite a few new and helpful thoughts with me from watching the video. Small stuff like the filename I will for sure adapt directly after the review period. Displaying tower levels and improving piece hitboxes also. I share your opinion on the restart mechanic… We simply did not have the time to improve there, but we did plan to.

Totally fair points in the review. Not sure how we could improve the Puzzle aspect here though ^^

And yes, 163k is not bad ;) I am glad you liked it.

haha no problemo, its easier making these videos than it is for people to make a game in 3 days so its the least I can do. I totally understand the not having enough time to do a restart button, in a game-jam there is never enough time for everything! Great work

Thank you Prinny! Your feeback is golden. So helpful. Awesome you took so much to play it.

Also you as the creator of Tile Knight giving such feedback about the visuals I feel honored.

How do you come up with things like this? It's brilliant! Really simple concept and loved the colors. Congratulations~

Developer

Thank you very much :)

For me has been easy to catch the concept, the "Monster tamer" genre was like... a bit taken out of the hat, but man, great art, it's simple and looks good, not a single complain about it, and the difficult is very hard the first time, but once you realize how the game works its super satisfying to go for the pieces and try to put them somewhere, when the game evolves you begin to look for certain pieces instead of going like... randomly taking every piece, at least, that's how my journey was (XD),
you have to put some sound into this, is very addictive!

Developer

Thank you for playing and giving feedback.

There actually is sound on the native builds! And I am very proud of it, maybe you have time to check it out again ;p

I have the same journey while playing :) Glad you like it!

What a beautiful game :)

Took me a while to realise that not all tower bits of the same shape were the same colour too. I wonder if it would be too easy if you only mixed up the shapes and not the colours?

Developer

At the moment the idea is also that the colour only shows after damaging the pieces, which makes planning much harder. I would like to keep the colours, but we should definitely work on them being easier to distinguish, yes.

Thank you for playing and giving feedback :)

Great idea and well implemented. You should be proud with that!

Developer

Thank you :)

Great idea ^^ a bit hard to see the diference between red and pink for me .
but good game after all :)

Developer

Thanks for playing and giving feedback :) We will work on the colors.

Interesting concept! Enjoyed the challenge.

Developer

Happy you like it. Thanks for playing :)

Couldn't really play it. Not a great game for the colorblind xD

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! Since I have some color blindness myself I can understand very well. We did try to find colors that at least I can distinguish more or less, but that doesn’t mean anything for other types of color blindness of course. An idea would be to have the option to switch the colors at any time. We could also add an additional distinction on the pieces e.g. a symbol per color.

Developer(+1)

Thats unfortunate. What kind of colors would work for you? I want to make future games more accessible for colorblind, so yes an extra option is probably the way to go

Submitted(+1)

I suffer from the most common color blindness. Red/Green color blind. I have issues differentiating:

Yellow from green if it’s a light green
Brown from green if it’s a dark green
Orange from red occasionally
And shading in general is pretty rough.

I wouldn’t be able to tell you what colors are used in this game. For a completely color oriented game, I would go with very distinctly different colors. I did a color game for this jam and did very bright red, yellow, and blue. This should help with the majority of colorblind users.

Great concept

Developer

Thank you :)

The concept is really good but is so hard click in a so small piece of poligom. @_@

Good job after all! :)

Thanks for playing and the feedback :)

I really like this concept! And, the game looks fantastic too :D

Developer

Thank you! Happy you like it :)

I really like it. its a simple and quite easy to understand, but alot of the time its kinda based on luck, so i could get stuck with the upgrades just becuase i didnt get the right shape to spawn, but still I like the art, and the gameplay, Good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing and your feedback :)

The game could surely improve with some logic when to spawn which pieces, yes. There was also no time to make some pieces spawn later and use them only in “higher tier” puzzles.
