All the assets are me in front of a greenscreen. I was originally going to do pixel art until I realized I'm not good at pixel art. Thank you for checking it out. Been a little while since I played UFO50. I'll check out that one.

Really neat concept! Great game.

I definitely wanted to include all of those things but work got in the way of a lot of progress. Thank you for checking my game out!

I like the art and sounds a lot. I think the platforming could maybe feel a little better but overall good job!

I really like the art and style in general. Very cool. I'm not sure if I fully understood the objective though.

That was very enjoyable. Once I started to figure out the parry mechanic it was a lot of fun. Great presentation and music too. Great job.

Thank you for the kind words! I totally agree. If I had more time I probably would've recorded some more moves and added them like jumping and high and low attacks.

That was the initial idea. Unfortunately I was only able truly work on this on the weekends so I ran out of time to add all the things I wanted. Thanks for checking it out!

Thank you, I was definitely inspired by MK. Bought a green screen just for the jam lol.

Absolutely...NOT! Just kidding, I added the link the description. It's a bit of a mess. if you're in the flowlab discord feel free to DM me and I can give a rough explanation for how it all works.

Thanks! Yeah I think there might be a bug with the jumping. I did notice it's sometimes inconsistent but not sure why.

Thanks for the critiques and taking the time to play it! The lack of sounds was mostly due to running out of time.

Thank you for the kind words. The voices are just me sped up/pitched up haha.

I probably should have noted that in the description. The core mechanics were heavily inspired by DDNet.

Thank you. I tried to add a good amount of checkpoints to prevent that from happening. You can always respawn at your last checkpoint by pressing R.

I originally had the lights refill when moving to the next stage but the levels felt too easy and made the oil pumps a little useless. Perhaps if I had more time to design the levels so there's actual strategy and puzzle solving involved. A lot of things were very rushed at the end of this jam.

Thanks for playing though!

I informed another user that there actually is more content but there was a mishap during submission and I can't make any changes during the jam's voting period sadly. But thank you for trying it out!

Thanks! Be sure to check out the artist's social media. He's very talented.

There were more levels but sadly the build that I uploaded only had the first 3 because I was testing out the game state going from menu, to game, to game end. I forgot to reverse that and include all the levels and the jam rules state that we're not allowed to make any changes during voting so it is what it is.

To be perfectly honest though, even we weren't really 100% sure what the mechanics were supposed to be. It was beginning to come to focus but by that time it was too late and we just needed to wrap it up just to have something to submit.

Thanks for playing though!
