I'll just send them over if you want :). DM me an email address and I'll wrap them up

There's actually a lot of super simple ones in there for starters, but it's going to get way more complex as time goes on. Hopefully there will be a little (or a lot?) of something for everybody. Thanks for checking it out!

Typically, one person would (theoretically) create the game audio using outside sources (like your DAW, etc) and another person / group of people would be in charge of implementing them on the code end. Or, are you talking about doing all of your designs within an engine?

What types of collaboration are you looking for specifically?

Any style? Does that mean you can do breakcore? :)

Very groovy! Seems like the noise floor is a little high on some of those (nothing a good spectral processor can't handle though), but that's a cool little project you've got going on there. Did you also create the synth that was used to make these, or is that someone else's?

A good granular synth and a cheap field recorder could go a  really long way if you're up for the task.

Or, even just VCV Rack all by itself. It's 100% free and can be used to create pretty much anything you've got in mind.

Seems like these would be even better with sounds you recorded yourself for a more authentic feel. Have you ever given that a try? I bet you could pull it off!

Thank you! I'm glad you like it :)

(If these type of limited-giveaways aren't allowed here, feel free to remove this or get me to remove it)

I enjoy making sample packs so much that I've probably created more than 60 lengthy packs (all from scratch) in the past 2-3 years, so I figured I'd periodically drop some free bandcamp codes here just to give back to this awesome community.

(To be clear, my packs are royalty free and perfectly fine to use in all types of projects. The only thing I ask is that you don't re-distribute them)

Redemption instructions are written inside of the square, so if you punch a code in before someone else, you'll get to save it to your account forever! I've also used the max column / row size so there should be enough to go around -- and while supplies last, I'll post new or old ones at random here from time to time!

Without further ado, here is the first batch:

I'm getting "server not found" when I click that link.

Also, out of curiosity, what's the incentive for creators to use your site instead of Itch, Bandcamp, and Gumroad?

Filter Forge is pretty much all you need if you want a PS plugin that works as an extremely versatile filter suite. I haven't come across anything like it yet, and I'm 75% sure you could create your own batch-processing scheme with it if you use their video nodes

It depends on how far your are into your music-production journey, but for a few power tools:

  • Cardinal (free)
  • PlugData (free)
  • Chow BYOD (free)
  • Vital (free)
  • Surge (free)
  • UVI Falcon
  • Voltage Modular (has a free tier, and an active Humble Bundle upgrade for $1 as I type this)
  • Redux (of Renoise 'fame')
  • BYOME (UA / Plugin Alliance)
  • TRIAD (UA / Plugin Alliance)
  • Pretty much any of Glitchmachine's plugins (they usually go on sale for about $10 a pop)

It sounds crazy now (or not), but I bet this fantasy app will legitimately exist in a few years

I've been making fairly large sample packs over the past few years if anyone wants to check them out

Same. It's kind of hard choosing between DRM and cloud saving rather than just getting both versions

Weirdly, I feel like it's hard to get organic traffic / supporters/ followrs from Gumroad itself, whereas Itch's community spirit and interactive nature fosters more engagement and, if nothing else, lots of organic traffic on your page. Maybe there's another dimension to GR that I'm not privy to, but it seems more like a "Here you go, you're on your own!" type of experience and Itch is way more warm and inviting in comparison.

I also found this thread on a Google search, I like that it's not even that old yet. Great minds think alike!

Same here on Windows 11 / Firefox. Glad to see it's not just me!

Wow, this is one of the better simulators I've used on here. The UI is super slick, and the fact that you can save chips down and use them in your current circuit is phenomenal.

Wow! This looks super slick. Nice work :)

Dang, does this dev respond to or update anything? There's so much potential here but it's pretty clear they absolutely don't care

Do these engines also come with Steam keys or are they entirely sold separately?

Thanks!

Will this still work if you're using something like Pyxel or Pygame?

This is a really cool idea! Can't wait to give it a spin
