I was thinking a lot about this stuff while developing my first game. At some point I realized that I stopped playing games while working on mine, because the actual experience of developing felt like a better version of the kind of experience I look for in my favorite types of games (exploration, puzzle)
ps.: Your game (??) should be in every school everywhere
Hey there, I've just released my first game, Séculos!
It's a short game, inspired by the quarantine period, where you have to find ways to pass your time by doing various activities around the house you're stuck in, while you wait for someone to come. The activities include light puzzles and minigames, which may lead to different endings.
It's all hand-animated and features music from some amazing artists, all coming together in a contemplative whole
Just played your demo! It works as an introduction to the story and I love how you use sound to express stuff that wouldn't look good in a topdown perspective. I had some trouble with the text though. It is pretty small and the computer text has a hard to read font in a color that constrasts little with the background. Good luck with the rest of the project!
