Instead of buffing the melee I'll likely just rework it entirely to be more a utility than a weapon, while also making earlier stages where the player can get a gun far more safely and with less RNG involved. I tried to make the rifle cats more dynamic by making them back up if you got too close to them, which made them harder to kill but in a more frustrating way.

Anyway I appreciate the feedback and playtest.

Thanks for the feedback, Someone else said said the game had clunky movement so I'll try adjusting some of the movement settings and doing some playtesting to make it feel more natural. Your point about roguelites giving players solid foundations is helpful and true, I plan to add earlier easier stages where the player can get guns and other powerups.

I also love the idea of the ball of yarn and adding other items that correspond to real life cats, all the cats in the game are based on my cats so it'd be cool to also add some items that relate to them (assuming they make sense).

Thanks again for the review.

An option to turn off motion blur will come for sure. I'm still working on the map design so your input is very appreciated, this was actually the first time anyone other than me actually played the game so I wasn't sure how to spread enemies out, I'm glad I'm getting feedback  with that.

Not starting with any ranged weapon was an oversight for this version of the game, since the enemies and overall layout was far more difficult than it should've been. In the future I plan to add far easier earlier stages that let the player gear up.

I'll check out the movement again and see if turning off motion fixes it, if not I might tweak some settings. Thanks for the tip about enemy sound effects, they're all like ninjas right now which isn't really fair, so I'll do that as well.

Thanks for the review, I really appreciate the playtest and help.

Incredible combat, fighting enemies is very satisfying. Atmosphere is great, gameplay is great, sound effects are good, this is still an amazing game. Hope to see even more progress.

Got some pretty heavy Baba Is You vibes from the game. Good soundtrack, fun puzzles,

an undo button would be appreciated since it was sometimes annoying to restart after I pulled an oopsie from being a fool. Other than that though very fun puzzle game.

Nice casual game, nothing that complex but it was pretty good at relying on the ball physics. The simple shapes and mechanics were pretty charming. Like other people mentioned there was a lot more luck than skill involved, felt a bit like playing plinko in a way. I hope with future updates new obstacles get added and player interaction is increased.

Very fun and a great concept, definitely would be way more fun playing with friends, this is for sure a party game. The sprites and animations all look great. The game is very difficult, the very tight timings mixed with hard attack end lag, different angles you have to deal with, and the slow speed of the characters makes fighting bots a tough challenge, even the easier ones.

Good party game.

Thanks for the video that was a fun watch, and no haha you aren't dumb, the player really should've started out with a random gun for this version. In the future I'd like to add much easier stages where the player can suit up with more health, guns, and other powerups. The bottles you kept finding were meant to be pills that acted as a small health pack.

The claw weapon will also see a big rework since it was underpowered, especially for the level you were in.

I really appreciate the video and all the feedback you gave in it, thanks for trying your hardest!

Noted, I'll try and rework the starting claw entirely so thanks for the input!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to add an option to disable motion blur and try and get the game running smoother.

The claw does need to be reworked for sure, I'll probably start the player off with a random weapon or have much easier early stages for the player to find a weapon, which is the same for the low health, which I'd prefer to keep low to start so that the player feels more progression.

I read that this was a project made for learning rather than to create a polished game but it was still fun. Combat felt weird, only having four directions to attack from while also having to move in a direction if I wanted to turn made fighting enemies weird unless I had full health where I could use the ranged attack. I also got  bug where the character was invisible after I died.

Anyway I guess that doesn't matter too much but good luck with future projects, being able to make something like this at all is still impressive.

Well I enjoy tactics games but after beating all nine towers the game feels kinda slow, when you had less units at the beginning it was more enjoyable, but that's a personal thing. Getting new troops every mission made the game more enjoyable, the AI was pretty and clumping all your units up made the game pretty easy.

Some small things are that the enemy turns take long when there's no enemies left and I'm just trying to get to their tower, sometimes the idle animations have clipped pixels near their edges, and the terrain in general is a bit bland after playing it for a while. The map being an image of a city was a bit immersion breaking but I don't doubt it's just a placeholder.

That being said I still enjoyed the game enough to beat it all, the graphics and music are fun and games like this are pretty fun.

Looking forward to seeing new maps, enemies, and gameplay mechanics if there are more to come.

Had a lot of fun with the grapple mechanic and also watching the different trick animations.

The whole gameplay experience is very fun, every level is visually distinct and introduces new gameplay mechanics which is great, the 3 star system is a good addition since it incentivizes replaying the levels and checking out all the different routes in each zone, which are all very fun. Driving can feel clunky but in a weirdly good way, especially with rails with momentum and direction.

The visuals remind me of flash games, not that that's a bad thing. The ground texture could sometimes be a bit distracting.

The only real problem was that the game crashed a couple times, once when I was getting chased by the police and once when I tried to use the grapple mechanic for the first time.

Still fun though, I look forward to seeing more with from the moon level and the jet mechanic.

Thanks for trying it out, in the future I'll start the player off with a random gun, that level is less a first level more of a "I'm trying to see what parts of the game are fun and what aren't". Thanks for the feedback on balancing and what isn't enjoyable. I'll definitely tone down the bullet hell aspect.

Also thanks for reporting that bug, no it isn't intended and I'll try and fix it asap.

It was when I was playing the tutorial levels, sorry I don't remember if I had done anything right when the game froze. I was able to play again and skip the tutorial though and see more of the game.

Fun game, I like the mechanic of having to play each level since it made me be conscious of how I beat levels. Graphics were charming, music was good, gameplay could be a bit clunky but I don't play a lot of platformers so that's likely why.

The game froze sometime while playing  and I had to close with the task manager, so I wasn't able to check out the rest of the game which is a shame because the screenshots look good.
