I hope you know that the final version finished building like 30 seconds after submissions were locked
gg guys it's so over
YOU'RE GRASS 🤯 (I don't know why you can't just type emojis into itch alone this is terrible)
Thank you for all the feedback in this comment as well as on stream! It definitely gives me a lot to work on post-jam, and I got a lot of tips for future games too. Also, stream was super fun, I'll be tuning in for more. Thanks again, I appreciate your feedback a lot! I'll play your game this weekend when hw is over aanjfjdsnjg
Helloooo! Think I saw you in a stream hahaha! Thank you for the suggestions, I'll definitely look into balancing things post game! Is the double clicking to finish the text and then skip to the next text, or you need to double click once the text is finished to move on? Thanks again, and I look forward to checking out your game later :D
made a version where the enemies target properly that absolutely does not need to be played (especially for ratings) 🫡

Just like the person below me, I also went back and forth between the top left trees HAHAHA. I'm not super sure what the burn hitbox is, since the berries only seem to hurt the monsters after they've started burning on the ground, so I threw fires at my feet instead of at the monsters. I also think maybe the little monsters should have been a tiiiny bit slower than the player. A little bit more of an introduction would've been nice, but figuring out everything yourself is also pretty satisfying.
Great game for 2 weeks of development! ALSO THE RANPO PROFILE PICTURE IS SO BASED WHAT THE HELL I'M GIVING YOU HIGH RATINGS JUST FOR THAT
It took me a while to figure out how cloning worked exactly, even with the tutorial. Also, it's a bit intimidating that the timer goes on even as you're reading the tutorial. But this game was definitely super original, and I love your ideas as well as the variety of upgrades you can get! There's definitely a huge chance factor, but it's fun when you figure it out. The art is super cute too! Good job!
PEEGEEEEE AHHHHHHHHH I AM JUMPING INTO THE ABYSS WITH YOU AND YELLING AT YOU
AAJNFDSKNJKSDGNJSDJGNDSJKGNDSGN I SPEDRAN THAT STUFF SO HARD HOLY SHITTTT LMAOAOAOAOO I WISH I COULD'VE POLISHED IT MORE NOOOOOOO. YES YES UR SO RIGHT I DEF NEED TO ADD A TUTORIAL. I WILL GET TO WORK ON THAT AS SOON AS SCHOOL IS OVER SOBBBB. U AND RAIN ARE THE GOATS FR OMG. THANK YOU PEEGEE YOU ARE LITERALLY SO EPIC THIS GAME ONLY EXISTS BECAUSE OF YOU I WAS LITERALLY READY TO GIVE UP A HUNDRED TIMES WHILE TRYING TO MAKE IT BUT YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT PULLED ME THOUGH 😭😭😭 YOU'RE SO SUPPORTIVE OF ALL OF US OMG I HOPE I AM NOT UNDERSTATING HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE IT. EVERYONE NEEDS A PEEGEESQUEEGEEE IN THEIR LIVES THANK YOU X10000000
ALSO learning scratch to make a game in the final hour of the jam is hella impressive I WILL SAY IT AGAIN U ARE SUPERHUMAN LOL LITERALLY YOU ARE SO INSANE
Wait I genuinely want to see this as an extended game LOLLL. Usagi straight up giving the definition of aberrant was really funny in the context of this jam. As a mobile gacha gamer, I can confirm that you've 100% captured the experience of what it feels like to play one of the poorly made ones, from everything from the art to the gameplay to the music.
Your art is genuinely impressive. Anime styled games ftw (even if they're bad mobile game parodies, actually that just makes it even better) B) Looking forward to seeing more from you!
Thank you!! Ahaha there's no audio because I was planning on learning a DAW last minute to make my own tunes, but I didn't end up having enough time and had to bug fix until the last minute. about tear... I know he's way too op I think I've nerfed him 20 times in playtesting and he's still strong
Anyway, thank you a lot for the feedback! I'm glad you had fun, and I can't wait to try your game too! Before I do though I just gotta say, the art looks absolutely amazing in yours as well holy shit.
Hiii thank you SO much for taking the time to write such an extensive post on my jam!! I really really appreciate all the feedback <3
Yess there are some bugs I gotta squash. I plan on updating the game after the jam to fix em :) And actually, the first version of the game did have a rest after every combat! But since certain characters only appear on certain days, I had to change it (for this jam specifically) so you actually got to go through some of the fights hahaha. Also, being able to skip through every day until the final boss might've caused some problems. I really like the payment idea, though! I think I'll implement that in the next version of the game.
WRITERS UNITE. I gotta try your game omg, I saw the thumbnail and was instantly curious about it. I'm 120% going to be checking it out later.
The characters do all have pretty in depth lore actually :) I'll definitely take your feedback and try to give some more story spotlight next time! I'm so happy you're interested haha, it means a lot to me. A lot of the enemies are actually my friends' ocs which all exist in the same world, so they'd be able to provide some detail as well (Peegee and Rei for example, who've both commented here).
Thank you again! Your comment means a lot to me 🥹🙏
Yooo!! Thank you for playing! Omg, I didn't know a one shot was possible with him (and those two more specifically). Thanks for letting me know HAHA I love hearing about people's strategies! Trust is supposed to affect the pass rate. At -100%, you would probably always end your turn on that character loololl
Omg you get a gun. Automatic +1 for that.
I love the art style, the colors are well picked and the theme is also very interesting. I agree with Koligma, a jumping mechanic or some way to avoid the enemy's attacks like a dodge would be nice since they come towards you from both sides. At some point their attacks feel pretty challenging to avoid, but maybe that's intentional. Overall, great little game!
Oh my goshh I love that there's musical notes when they talk! It seems to match up pretty well with the syllables in their words as well! Sometimes the text is too long and it runs off the box, and you can stand on top of the well if you go behind it. You can also go behind windows and through benches. Buuut these are small things. I also managed to run off the map somehow while in search for the forest.
I love the art, and the sprites are very impressive! The girl and Frosty are so cute. The game is creative, and the story is very nice too.
I'm wondering if you recorded the bgm yourself?
OMG I JUST NOTICED THE THING THAT SAYS BROWSER VERSION LOOKS WEIRD ON MAC... I HATE THIS I NEED TO SWITCH TO WINDOWS ASAP LMFAOOO
Ahhh I can't run it in my browser because it kept crashing my page (mac L) so I don't wanna give an unfair rating, but from what I was able to see, the art is GORGEOUS and I really love the music you added!! I wish I got to see more of the story though :( Any plans for a downloadable export? Maybe for mac?
Had to comment because this game was too cool to pass up arrghhh
I love that the text icon disappears when the lawn mower goes to it hahaha. This is a great game, I've been wanting to play it ever since I saw it in the submissions. As Zenobia said, the infinite grass growing upgrade is hilarious. The box sorta collapses after a while and the game lags because of how much grass is spawning, but I'm sure that was 100% intentional and I love the game even more because of it.
Let's goooo Godot devs ftw
Corrupting sight is the best skill, I don't make the rules. I really like the art style of your game, especially the enemies! They look ghostly and a bit fungi-like? If there's an ending, I wish I was skilled enough to see it but I did manage to get far enough to see a lot of the bigger enemies. It's amazing how much character you were able to game them through just shapes! I also really like the protagonist's design haha.
Gameplay wise, it's fun! I'm a huge fan of vampire survivors-styled games so it was easy to pick up and understand.
I wish there were some exp or health indicators, just so you know whether you're on the brink of levelling up (or dying). If there is an ending, a timer would also be nice to have to know how long you should survive for!
Overall, a great first Godot game. You should be very proud of yourself :)
