thanks, glad you enjoyed it, it was fun going back in time to revisit this from my childhood.

Very atmospheric, the audio really adds something extra, not just an afterthought, nicely done.  Didn't realise at first that the mouse rotated, my first thought was that it would be nice to have a rotate option :-)

Nicely done!

Agreed, I had planned to have a tutorial or some instructions, but time ran out. I do plan to return to this after the jam though, as I have a lot of ideas for new directions to take it, just the beginning.

Fun challenge, kept me entertained for a while working out what I was supposed to do, enjoyed it.

Nicely done, controls are simple, concept good, fun and very playable.

Great fun, really enjoyed the unusual mechanic, using the flamethrower to propel yourself up, took a moment to work out, but really nicely done.

Very nicely done game, looks fab, sounds nice and the mechanic is innovative and fun.

I don't want to be the grumpy old so-and-so (although I am :-) ), but does anyone else feel that a lot of the submissions are basically "I've got a game, if I say it's hard and therefore "overloads" your senses, then it fits the theme" as opposed to "ok, the theme is overload, what can I come up with that revolves specifically around that theme?" ?

Maybe it's just me, I personally love the part of taking a theme word or phrase and spending a few hours brainstorming how to make a game around that theme, I use it as a way to come up with new ideas, that's the fun part for me.

Nice, very innovative take on the theme, if stressful  :-) I'm clearly not very good at reading manuals.

I’m on chrome macOS and they seem to kill the entire browser, not even a single tab, I have to force close chrome.

It's a real shame, I can't review many of the games submitted because they were built using 4.x and deployed on web (the only platform I can really test on) and the 4.x web deploy is fatally broken (still) and crashes the browser, hard, after a short period of time.

I really think it's time for the organisers to make it clear that 4.x for web deploys is unsupported.

Nicely done, plays well. Took a moment to get used to the controls, I'd definitely play it again, great fun.

Looks like fun, but unfortunately, couldn't run it for long, it killed my browser like so many others after a few minutes of play.

Interesting concept, adds a neat puzzle element to the classic platformer. Unfortunately, after a while of play it killed my browser dead.

Fun twist on an old idea, the extra difficulty of the balancing play area really changes the way you play. Nicely done.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it, I really need to add some instructions, especially controls. I had hoped to add controller support, but time ran out

Agreed, I will probably return to the mini-game idea and rethink it a bit

The levels were a bit rushed, this was created for the Godot Wild Jam #59 in 9 days, and the mechanic and gameplay took longer than expected, so putting the levels together was left to the last couple of hours before the deadline, so they aren't great. Changing the track while the train is running shouldn't be allowed, and I've disabled that now, along with a few other changes, just need to sort out some problems and I'll do a new release.

Just did, this time as soon as I press Play, it kills Firefox completely.

Thanks, all good points, and all things I'd have like to solve given time. I want to go back to this and add some progression tracking, working out the best solution and giving stars, and lots more.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I do plan to have a more traditional progression, with completion of one level allowing you to go directly to the next one. I also plan to put in more useful tutorials, and introduce concepts a little more gently

I'm on an M1 mac, so AMD isn't an issue, it's metal on Apple silicon.

Just crashes on play here on Chrome macOS.

It's a known problem with the HTML5 export of Godot4.x, that's why I stick with Godot 3.5 at the moment.

Unfortunately also on macOS, looks interesting from the screenshots.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on Chrome macOS, loads, after 2-3 minutes and locking up the entire browser, but then dies as soon as I pres play, gives a message "WebGL context lost" and crashes out.

Fun, could definitely see this going somewhere, lots of potential, I like that it's a platformer but has a race element, cool play on the mechanic.

Fun little puzzler, nicely done, would definitely play more.

Doesn't work on Chrome macOS, says it lost the WebGL context and just plays the music in the background. Shame, looks like fun from the screenshots.

Sort of runs on Chrome macOS, but only for a short while, and then crashes out.

The DMG doesn't work, won't open, but with some patience, managed to get the HTML5 version to work on Chrome macOS, just need to wait a bit and accept that the entire browser will be stalled during that time. Looks like a fun game, with lots of depth. Love the art style, just couldn't quite work out exactly what I was supposed to be doing, but it was fun all the same.

Unfortunately it just locks up on pressing the play button on Chrome macOS.

Looks like it has promise, but couldn't work out how to connect pieces of track or get the train moving.

Dies on Chrome macOS after 2-3 minutes loading, a message about losing WebGL context.

Fun and frantic. Enjoyed playing, good energy.

Looks really nice, but couldn't work out what the information in the orders actually meant, so couldn't fulfil a single order  🥲

Fun, very unforgiving though. Would be good if you fall off the top platforms to be able to recover on the main train or other platforms. Like the idea of the horse to catch you when you fall. Nicely done.

Unfortunately, doesn't work on macOS. Loads after 2-3 minutes like all Godot4.x HTML5 exports after locking up the entire  browser for a while, but then just stalls upon pressing Play.

Shame there's no macOS playable, looks interesting from the screenshots.

Unfortunately, the macOS download just crashes the moment you hit Play.
