yeah haha I overscoped the absolute living shit out of this.

definitely! thanks for trying it out!

About the longer colliders, I believe I added 5 Coyote frames after falling off so that the the game isn't as punishing. It must be that. Also, it's actually my first ever making a complete 2d platformer, my first time messing with lights, my first time making sound effects, messing around with tilemaps and so much more. It makes me very happy that the game seems well developed. Thank you for playing the game and leaving feedback!

11/10 Sound effect and music, and a working game with a well-made game loop, and for you first game, in 2 days?! I give this game 20 out of 4 Ernies.

haha I ran out of time for the other item I was planning, even the world is way shorter than I planned it to be. And the jump pads were so clunky I had to add in a voice line to even make sense of it T_T. Thanks for playing the game and leaving feedback! <3

Awesome team effort. The music fits the game, the art assets are just amazing and the overall vibe is just super techno. Great to see all of you venture into new horizons. An improvement could be some shader effects and some more juice to elevate the feel of the game even more. All in all, great game. Cheers!

Definitely one of the best games to come out of this jam. I would say that you've phenomenally achieved your goal of making the game an atmospheric experience. I absolutely adore the art and the music for this. Very good game. The sound design was awesome, and the big axe man was a jumpscare and a half!

Fun experience! Especially loved the rotation signs. Very reminiscent of old school games, an acquired taste. The UI could be better, the game could also use a volume slider. Theme felt a bit forced but that doesn't matter. The devlogs were a fun peak into what went on behind the scenes. Overall, the game is fine. Definitely could be a bit more forgiving though, and a little bit of input feedback goes a long way.

Great work! It's a game, it works, and its completed. That's amazing. Kudos to you for not only tackling 3D for the first time but also turning it into a game! Although the devlog leaves much to be desired. Overall, nice entry! Hope you learnt a lot!

You're making the community a better place, hope you get the karma you deserve for this. Much thanks.

I so relate to that part. . . Anyways, Thank you for playing the game and reading a review! Have a great day!

Thank you! Jason has been a pleasure to work with, he'd often end up easily solving problems that I would've spent ages on. Just goes to prove the value for experience! I wouldn't even have gotten half the game together without him.

Thank you for playing <3

That's a great idea! Thanks for the advice and for playing the game!

I can't thank you enough for leaving such a detailed review! The problems that you've defined are ones that I'm aware of, and this was my first time using Godot as well so I couldn't quite solve things as well. We did add the hotkeys in but removed them because it was the last day and the cooldown system was bugging out. I haven't quite noticed the issue with the pixel art but we did do some scaling here and there which could be the culprit for that. This was actually my first 'game' in years. My first experience with grids, Godot and a new genre other than platformers. So as you said, tons to learn! And all constructive criticism is good criticism. Thank you for taking the time to play and writing this post!

Thanks a ton for taking the time to play it and leaving a review <3

Thank you for reviewing! About the issue with the theme, we know. The idea for us was to have a little dialogue in there, portray a story and thus realize the theme but unfortunately due to time constraints we were unable to do that. But the jam was all about learning new things and I can guarantee that we've learned a lot. Therefore, it is already a win in my eyes. Thank you for playing and leaving a comment! Have a great day!

I'm in! [My first jam :D]
