The music is phenomenal

Ok, I edited the comment. Sorry bout that!

This is a game produced for Ludum Dare 56. Your goal is to grow your tardigrades population and keep them from dying of boredom.

I made this in 48h using JavaScript. The game is a bit of a mess, but hopefully provides a fun experience.

Cheers!

The Test of Insanity measures how far you can go before going insane. It has a mix of math problems, quizzes, and skill based games that will tickle your brain in ways you've never been tickled before!

Play the free demo  (10 levels) or purchase the full version (50 levels) on itch.io!

Nice game, thanks for sharing! yeah I found the Mongolian history around that period of time to be quite fascinating.

Fun puzzles with smooth gameplay. It's a bit weird to play upside down!

I can't say typing is my type of gameplay, but I do find the graphics very nice and with unique style!

This game is pretty well made! It was made with that Wonderland Engine?  Seems you can create some pretty neat 3d environments with it very quickly. Nice engine!

It has nice graphics and music that set a uneasy atmosphere. The gameplay is a bit confusing, but I think it has potential after adding more content.

The keyboard controls had some issues the first time, but worked the second time. Too bad it's missing some AI to fight against, because there's not always 2 players to available.

That said, the graphics are really nice!

I like the pixel art. I think the controls could just use the keyboard, not a mix of keyboard and mouse.

The screen effect to make it look like monitor is really cool, but it makes the text kinda unreadable. Try to use bigger font.

Pretty nice platformer. I'd say one thing that annoyed me though is that it's using the mouse for attack, even though the aim is not directional, so it could have just been a key.

I was trying to shoot the enemies at first, but figured out I could just run through all the levels. I died at the boss though.

Good game!

Hey this is really not bad for a start. What you have going for you is great graphics and animation, so just keep up at it and you'll have a great game.

Don't get discouraged. You're still young and have long ways to go, and you're already starting to build cool things.

Just take it easy, keep sharing what you make with the community and think of ways to bring creativity into what you can make. You'll get better and better eventually.

So good luck, and keep at it!

Happy Birthday!

How about you share a bit about yourself. What's your favorite game?

And what games have you made so far?

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I like when the NPCs speak French for me. They use weird expressions that we no longer use!

This is a very nice entry. The graphics and animation are definitely a strong point, and the music is pleasant.

Strange, did you press on a key (after clicking somewhere inside the game view)?

I"m a bit confused about what to do. I bought two items and can't find the door to click

Pretty nice shoot-em up style game, with nice graphics. I do prefer though, when it comes to shoot-em-up, if it uses only the keyboard, or only the mouse.

Simple and easy going user interface.

You might want to indicate in the game description that you can drag the tiles around. I only found out after reading through the comments, and before that, I thought this game is really really hard! (it still kinda is.).

Yeah I told OpenAI to mix a bit of the native language, in case I stumble upon a voice from the SpeechSynthesizer that's non-English. Was not disappointed!

Crazy and goofy as hell! Love the humor and the creativity. Keep it up!

Solid novel gameplay and excellent music!

Ah got it. Yeah it does work with the arrow keys. The controls are a bit awkward, but I got a hang of it. Thanks!

A very slow grind. This has some good base for developing a open world RPG, with the minimap and all. For now, since it has limited content, so you might want to make the grind a bit faster.

Nice clean UI, and interesting word puzzle. The AI is quite hard to beat!

You should consider accessibility in your design. When playing on a Mac laptop, you can't really "hold" right button with the trackpad. I also tried with the mouse but found out I don't have the ability to hold both left and right click.

Other than that, nice cute graphics and music for your first game.

A very nice entry overall with good production value: great graphics, good music, and a nice gameplay!

Fun gameplay! And I can always appreciate a game that shows humor simply through the game mechanics!

A very nice simple and original concept! I was able to go through all 12 levels.

One minor thing that's bothering me, is the fact that you use the javascript alert to indicate intersecting light. I think the UX could be nicer there.

What gorgeous pixel art, and a good amount of decors to explore! You should make the game's viewport a bit bigger I think. And yeah, the difficulty ramps up really fast!

It's a bit frustrating to die immediately when hitting a pole. The music is rather nice though!

Hey it's nice I was able to grab the human after coming back. Feels like I discovered some easter egg :-P

Nice effects and sound. The presentation got me pumped, but then I got a bit confused when it comes to the gameplay.

Pretty interesting concept. I also like the clean graphics. The controls are hard!

Yah me too, turns out the AI can come up with funnier lines that I could possibly write!

For the NPC, I took part in the challenge by having the AI auto-generate all my dialogs. I just inject the situation, and let the AI come up with something.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try to work on the thumbnail.

Interesting concept of editing your own level before you go through it. It also has good music.

I feel the one little thing missing, is that I would really like if the lights actually turn on when you reach the switch at the end, and as a bonus you show interesting stuff in the room. I feel that'd be more satisfying.
