That was fun, I managed to finish in under 1 minute after a few tries. The mechanics are very simple but felt fun to search for the animals I needed left. You could definitely expand this with more stuff. Just keeping with emojis you could have another level with people, and another with sea creatures, etc.

Hi,

Quite innovative! My record seems to be 58 seconds. At some point I clicked anwhere :).

When I took a long break (about an hour, walked away), and then resumed the game, there were quite noticeable lags.

It was fun, congratulations!

Nice entry! It's pretty easy to understand and fun to play.
The one part a bit annoying is that the cursor is hidden during gameplay so it the controls don't feel very smooth.

Cool concept; remings me of Cosmic Ark for the Atari 2600.

Controls fell a bit too clunky for my taste, though.

very cool idea with a lot of speedrun potential. as it is currently its a little basic and too easy, you can eventually win by just spamming the click/tap, but if you try to do it as fast as possible it actually becomes challenging. a points or a life system couldve made this even better, but as it is its still pretty cool!

Pretty cool concept and execution here.

I like the base game of aliens identifying animal species from Earth with their spaceship. This could definitely be added to, expanded on and refined also. More levels and maybe even biomes for different levels would be cool.

RIght now it is kind of easy to just spam the scanner and glance down a little bit to make sure you pick up a species or two that you haven't yet. It would definitely be nice to have a timeout or overheat on the scanning tool so that you can't just spam it the whole time.

It would also be pretty cool to expand the map out and allow for the aliens to explore around with movement keys, and also to have the animals hide or run away to an extent to make things a bit more challenging. Or another idea would be to randomly or semi randomly pick a species to target and you have to find that certain one at the time, or if you do then you get bonus points for finding the current targeted species.

Anyway, this was a pretty fun little concept to play with and pretty well put together for what it is.

I liked the concept of aliens scanning the animals - I can imagine it being expanded so theres different levels involving different biomes, and different animals having unique movements. Also I guess there's nothing stopping users from just clicking rapidly without consideration, so if there's either reward for efficient scanning or punishment for scanning the wrong thing it would add another level of gameplay.

Great game!
Love the simple art and sounds. Collect them all!

Suggestions:
- Sometimes it's hard to tell which square in the grid the animal is part of. I had a koala appear in 4 corners. Just had to try and click fast!
