Great idea for a game! It made me think of Unpacking, which is no bad thing. I could see how you could expand on the game if you kept working on it, hinting at more of the woman's story.

Love the sharp art and the fun customer sprites. It was interesting figuring out how each game worked.

That was a wild ride. I loved it. Really creative idea and the story made me laugh at several points. You really stick the landing. Great art and UI too.
Since all the words stay at the bottom for every character throughout, I got quite stuck in the middle, but that's fine for a game jam game. If you returned to working on the game, I can imagine how you might guide the player a bit more.

Thank you. Unexpected sadness is what I hope to evoke in my readers 😆

Thank you.

I'm sure there's a saltbae out there for Dr. Pineapple somewhere

Thanks so much for sharing it with your friends! It means a lot to hear you say that. We're very flattered as we thought Yin & Yarn set a really high standard too.

Thanks for your comments! Wish we could take credit for the music but that was from good old Kevin MacCleod.

That was a very fun idea. This brought back some memories.
If you made a full version with authentic polyphonic beeps and put it on the App Store, I could definitely see loads of people downloading it. Feel like you'd have to licence Crazy Frog for the full noughties flip phone effect though.

Seems like something is missing here. It says the game was submitted to the jam but there's no way to play it on the Itch page.

Was nice to see a game making an important social point in the jam. It's a clever idea and all the NPCs really irritated me in a very effective way. Great job!

Kids always manage to make a mess in the weirdest places, on the ceiling, behind the couch, outside reality.

Nice idea. I could imagine it being exciting at higher levels going very fast as you have to keep an eye on both screens at once. I wonder if I might prefer having one button to jump Chill and one for Blaze, rather than having to change, but maybe that extra challenge is important 🤔.
The failure screen is very cute.

Nice work! Sun and Moon are very cute.

I'll definitely keep following what you do. I tried Delete or Be Deleted after this and enjoyed it a lot. :)

I love the aesthetic and I really, really like the idea of a card battler where you control two different characters. If you did a full release of this, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I think there's a lot of room to expand on the concept and you employed the girly theme in an unconventional way. I immediately felt like I wanted to know more about the story of these characters.

Very nice mechanic with the shadows. I can see a lot of ways you could expand on it. :)

They reminded me of my cats, except they're much friendlier.

This game honestly has one of the best Level Complete animations in any game ever.
Great concept and well implemented with fun visuals.

I'm impressed by what a large array of parts you managed to get into the game in such a small amount of time. It's so much lovely pixel art! The controls took a bit of getting used to but this is a very fun take on the dress up genre and totally fits the theme. Being able to draw on your characters is a nice touch. I could see this being the kind of thing I would go to if I wanted to make characters for something like a demented pen and paper RPG about stuffed toys.

This is Gret. He's a sensitive guy.

I really like the central mechanic. Moving on parabolas/orbits is a lot of fun. I think it has a lot of potential though I found the game very hard at the moment. It's very easy to misjudge and go off the screen. I'd be interested to see what you do if you keep working on it because it's a great idea.

Now that is a lovely premise for a game. Very sweet! The music and sound effects are very serene too.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you for the kind words! We're glad we managed to get it all done in time.

The aesthetic is top-tier. It all comes together really well.
I made my Mum's cat Orlando.

Absolutely adorable. Some things were a bit unclear at first but I enjoyed wandering the café and tracking down the foods. Was nice to see banana cat make an appearance.
That overly affectionate dog is a scary guy!

I was really impressed! There's a surprising amount in here for a game made over a weekend. You've condensed down the Metroidvania experience really effectively. Giving the player an arrow to help them find the last of the collectibles was a nice touch for impatient players like me too.

This was a fun one. I felt driven to keep playing because I wanted to see the story to the end. The art is great too.

I really like it. The drawing tools are really well implemented. I'd be interested to see how you developed it into a full game. It made me think of Gartic Phone. Perhaps it could be a multiplayer game where you rate each other drawings. Maybe later rounds have you return to other people's drawings which you have to expand on (e.g. remove the head from someone's else horse and add your own).

Loved it! It's a really cohesive art style with a very distinct mood. I hope you keep working on the game because I really think you could expand it into a paid release with more levels and new mechanics (perhaps new animals mix things up or try to catch the cats).

Very cute and great art! Could definitely see it being the kind of browser game all the kids would play over lunchtime in the school computer room back when I was at school. The opening cutscene is a nice touch.

Forgotten to mention the music! It was really cool how every character had their own theme.

I loved this game! I got a surprise when  I realised there were unique endings and I replayed it to see every match. The art is excellent and the chibi endings are a great touch. I'd love to see what you'd make if you keep working on it. There were some typos and a button covered up some of the text but other than that, I really liked it. The writing is fun and made me laugh.
I would die for Steve!

Nice work! You've nailed the feel of those browser games! I got what you were going for immediately. The characters are cute too.
Clearly I have no fashion sense because it took me a long time to perfectly sort the clothes 😅. Both sets of undies looked emo to me. It might help if you were told how many were wrong when you fail.

What a smart concept! I loved this one. It's a great evolution of a classic idea.

This was a great little demo. When the reversing blocks were introduced it really started coming together. Looking forward to seeing if you return to the idea.

Thank you! I might need to do a physics degree first before I can start figuring out the physics of fulcrums. 😂

Thanks! We spent a while thinking about how to balance it for this release and decided to go for a relatively easy difficulty curve, but we do have ideas for how to make it harder if we return to the game.

Very impressive work for a four-day game! It reminded me of  A Short Hike. I'd love to see it expanded with a few more story moments and a few more traversal mechanics. I felt very attached to my little hiker.

This is incredible work for four days. Now I know the old lime I still haven't thrown out from the back of my fridge is not a messy failure, but a beautiful sanctuary of new life.
