How does your game fit the theme?
We went with scale/scales link and decided to make a simple puzzle game about balancing things when you don't know how much they weigh.

That was neat! The algebraic puzzles are basic, but competent. The art is cute. Good work!

really cool game, it was fun figuring out how much each animal weights. The art style is incredibly well done, and the game plays very smoothly.

Love the art style! Once you learn the ratios it becomes a bit trivial to balance the equation though. Not sure what other mechanics you could add to mix it up? Maybe some levels having a max overall limit and you have to choose which animals to take?

Nice game!

Simple fun game with nice visuals and fitting music. Feel quite a bit like an educational title. Would probably feel even more at home on a table or phone screen where dragging is a bit quicker when you need to do a lot of it.

A simple and easy to understand mechanic well put together with some nice polished art !

Great submission!

I liked:

  • the art style
  • the boat playing the role of a scale
  • the log that let you see previous rounds

improvements:

  • In terms of game design, I felt like something was missing a bit. It felt very mechanical to put characters on each side. Some kind of twist would have been interesting.
  • Levels that have many animals ends up being tedious a bit.
  • I would have pushed the "funny" aspect of the game with some animations (when drag'n'dropping or idle)

Nice and original game with cool art, only dragging every single animal gets a bit annoying over time

The art is super cute. Would like to see the a mechanic where how far from the center of the ship an animal is placed contributes to the weight.

Thank you! I might need to do a physics degree first before I can start figuring out the physics of fulcrums. 😂

Really original idea of the scale theme, the visuals are great, and the game feels nice to play! Overall very well done :)

Such a nice, clean cut art style that really helps with visual clarity. Very calming and chill gameplay. Actually love the literal interpretation of scales! Reminds me of old flash games I used to play :D

Nice game, I like the art of the game and the idea is great. May be not as puzzle as I would love it to be but it's a personal thought. Great job !

Developer

Thanks! We spent a while thinking about how to balance it for this release and decided to go for a relatively easy difficulty curve, but we do have ideas for how to make it harder if we return to the game.

I LOVE the artstyle! Very clean, simple and fun to play.  (The Hamsters are cute!)

Pretty relaxing. It's a little tedious to drag all the animals into the boat every time, but the art is delightful and the concept is pretty fun. I kept subestimating how much the bull weighted...

Developer

Thanks! We'd been thinking about having the option to reset the animals to the position they were in before you sank the boat but didn't have time to add it in the end.

Unique game design although maybe a bit simplistic after a while.
Love the art!

Nice game! It could do with a bit more polish though.
