I come back to this gem of a game every now and again, it always manages to bring a smile to my face. This is just great! thank you for making this game!

very nicely made! I got stuck in the first level 3 times and couldnt find the last object despite looking everywhere, so i restarted the game twice, bringing how many times i played level 1 up to 5 and how many times i watched the intro cutszene up to 3. I did not expect this amount of polish in a gamejam game, the fact this had its own intro cutscene and story kept me trying to finish level1. by upping the grahics settings from medium to good, i could finally advance from level 1 into level2. it was very worth the effort because with level2 and 3, the game was WAAY bigger than i initially thought it would be. Sadly, i got softlocked in level3 by jumping onto one of the boxes next to the stairs, and since i didn't have the energy to replay level 3, i quit. the levels got a bit too big for me to be motivated to find out what the rest of this game is about.
to summ it all up; good and unexpected story, interesting gameplay, i like messing with physics, and pleasing visuals. The soundeffects for sucking and spraying water were sadly unbalanced, overlapped and cut off. thank you for making this and reading my review, hope i wasn't too harsh with my words, i enjoyed playing this.
i feel like if the movement might be a little slow or the flashlight too short. I know the point is to only recocnize junk food when its a bit too late but if the game was a bit more hectic by dropping more food and giving the player more movement speed, the player is bound to make mistakes sooner or later. Other than that; cant complain about visuals or audio, the games definitely on theme, i like the idea with the flashlight and the game runs in WebGL which is pretty hard to pull off as i learned recently. props to ya and keep on making games :) Good stuff!
i loved the little nosy birds. i really appreciate when games do little things like this for a start button instead of a lame "click and you start the game" - your take on the theme is uniqe, so bonus points for that. i too would wonder "whys this fake human here?? there isnt even any crop for me to eat, who put this here?" - also your games icon fits the game quite well, its these little polish bits, and also the high quality birb animation i love to see.
I like the graphics and overall feel of the game, yet the gameplay confuses me a lot. Having the check phone and sell chicken buttons both linked to Y ended up in me selling my chicken more often than i wouldve wanted. i see no point in having expensive robot chicken, they are more expensive and dont seem to do anything at all. I'd suggest explaining their mechanic either in the itch page, or by pulling up the phone automatically when the game starts as a tutorial. Tho while confused, i still played until the timer stopped and it was a solid game. good job, hope you had fun making it :) my suggestion: put the ui from the phone with the stockmarket pricing somewhere onto the UI; I cant sell as fast as these prices rise and fall.
this vibes with me just right; love me some good simulation. This won't influence my rating, but for future projects, please remember to limit your framerate, unreal, at default settings, likes to use 100% of all avialable GPU and on my powerful machine, that makes the room heat up a bunch while playing. its a common mistake, i didnt know about it either until yesterday. You made the simplistic look work and the game seems really really well polished for a single person 7 day project. great job!! going back into the game now to get another ending >:3
i really wish i could give a higher rating for the visuals alone as the pixelart was beautiful, but the lack of a running animation, the camera, having jump on W instead of spacebar, the combat // enemies not doing any damage.... there were so many things that hurt the game that i have to bring the gameplay ranking down :/ Im sorry, the scope of this project seemed a little too big, the end corridor really didnt feel like an end but rather as if one of the monsters just despawned so i restarted 3 times :/ i wanna see where this projact goes with more time, now that the jam is over and there is no more time limit
i enjoyed the game, but the dogs were way too loud :/ at some point, there were a bunch of dogs offscreen and they all screamed at me and i just didnt know what to do, as i couldnt even shine my light at them to calm them down.
im not sure if i got to the end because i got pretty much softlocked in a deathtrap with a one way door on one side, and a wall with a dog on the other side. no matter what i did, i couldnt figure out the puzzle :/
gotta give props to great visuals and an interesting game concept tho :)
thank you for participating in the jam and making this
I quite enjoyed outplaying the enemy ships with my tiny boat by going in circles and not letting them get me >:3 good game! sadly i sank because i went too close to the edge of the world, while trying to get to some enemy ships on an island that seemed well within the play area. Please give a more clear indication of world borders, other than that, i enjoyed my time. Neat visuals, good controls and pleasing audio, i can't complain. Thank you for making this
I loved this, it was cute and i felt like i was going on a magical jurney, tricky at times to angle the projectiles right but i loved seeing the enemies just flop over like cardboard. Also getting to run around postgame, pushing all the meanies through walls was a neat touch hehehe, rlly cool effect with converting the walls into a homes walls at the end :)
Idk if i played this right or wrong but i'm a complete menace, deleting everything, my people helped counter remains at 0 xD oops
a minimap with an icon for the player would be nice, i ended up navigating by opening the map in the menu. its pretty easy to get lost on a quest to delete everything inexistence.
i had a bunch of fun and i definitely expected less from a gamejam game. You get a very good score from me, great job!
its a lot of fun to fly around and look at the houses from birds perspective :)
the controls were wonky at first, but after i got the hang of it, i went to the virtual world and my PB is 42.9
Id suggest making the interactable penguin and bear a bit more obvious, i almost missed that i can talk to both of them.
