Yeah, I feel like a couple of the levels were a little mean when put in with the time limit. I think I might add an ordered, non-timed level system after the ratings finish up. Thanks for checking out my entry!

Yeah, that's very much what I was aiming for, lol. Thanks!

The visual of the Will-of-the-Wisp was pretty neat. Sometimes it's pretty difficult to understand if the action needed repeats, but I think I got the hang of it later.

I had a similar issue to saaol, with the window being off-screen, but I eventually got it to stay on screen. The sprite design for the ball and spikes are pretty neat.

This game is pretty fun. I like the visuals. I wish the controls were different, like A and D, or left and right, but it's not a huge deal. Pretty nice game all around.

I thought this game was fantastic! The visuals and audio were fantastic, especially for a game made in 48 hours. The fact that there's only 2 control inputs makes the game very easy to understand, and in my opinion this game needs no tutorial. I do wish that the default controls were a bit closer together than A and B, but the fact that you can change controls in the options fixes this completely. All around, a fantastic game, and I wish there was a web build so that more people could have played it.

The idea behind this submission is solid. I think this might be a neat idea for a mobile game. But, when I was playing, sometimes the controls just didn't work as described, even if I chose the correct direction in a short time. I liked the art of the game. Congrats on your first game jam! This jam has a particularly short time frame, so it's pretty impressive that you got a project out, especially on your first jam.

On the browser version. I had a couple of friends play through it too, and they reported similar issues.

Thanks for hosting this game jam! I really enjoyed this one and am glad to have been a part of it!

I love Galactocracy. This game is incredible. The art, audio, and gameplay are all fantastic. I love the how the player controls the green planets, and the music when you finish a level is really funny.

Loved this one. The visuals, sound, and gameplay are all great!

I thought the visuals in this game are really cool! I did have a little trouble figuring out how the game worked at first, and I had some fairly major performance issues on my machine, but besides that, the game looks great!

I liked the models and visuals in this one! The replay of the little robot dudes was super cool. I wasn't sure at first the goal or what recording actually did, but once I found that out, the game was really neat! I think a tutorial level might be helpful, but I also might just be bad at the game.

I really like this game! The sound design and visuals look great, and I like the gameplay. Stamping documents felt really nice.

It did take me a while to figure out how to get the potatoes to step up to the booth and how to turn the pages on the intro document. I think that a short tutorial could be pretty helpful.

All in all though, I think this game is fantastic, and I'll probably end up playing this more later too.

I think the core idea behind this game is pretty cool. I like the idea of an auto-runner having an invincibility ability. Like Dulsie said, I think some indicators for the cooldown would make the game easier to understand, but I think the visuals looked pretty neat.

The music is absolutely heat. Love all the little rat rodent critters. I think it would be neat if there was a little more explanation of the game at the beginning. But I think it's all around pretty cool to see what different rats you can get.

This music is fire.

I liked the 2009 YouTube tutorial music. I really like when people use that kind of music in modern creations. I think a restart button and tutorial would be great improvements to the game. I like the little grey guy, I think he's cute.

I thought that the interpretation of the theme was very interesting. I do wish that the levels would restart automatically if you run out of actions before finishing the level. I think if the game's resolution fit a bit better in the web environment, this could be a really fun game.

Thanks! I just added an Unlimited mode without the time restriction. Thanks for checking it out!

The theme isn't a concrete rule in how it's implemented. If you're interpreting it as two button inputs from the keyboard, then I would probably say that adding other keys for non-gameplay purposes would be more than fine.

Okay, thank you.

I didn't see any rule against creating teams for the jam, but I also didn't see anything explicitly allowing them, so I'd just like to make sure.

Here's my team's entry!

Very fun gameplay!

Very cute art, but I'm ashamed to admit that I gave up.

I'm not entirely sure what the goal of each of the levels are, but the different enemies were pretty interesting!

Really fun game! Works great! I enjoyed the game play. I kinda wish that there was more variety in the game play as the game went on, but very solid all around!

Very fun tower defense game! I wish there was a few more towers, but it was still super fun!

Here's my team's submission!

https://itch.io/jam/1-bit-jam-n2/rate/2374169

Very fun game! Enjoyed the gameplay, graphics, and music!

Thanks! I'll look into implementing some sort of feedback system for when damage is dealt, as well as pausing when the inventory is open and working on the enemy distribution.

Thank you so much for the feedback!

If you join the Jam Discord, you can message the organizer of the jam to submit your project.

Attached is a screenshot of the announcement:

I enjoyed your game! It's pretty neat how just reversing the main mechanic of snake can change the game so much!

Here's the submission for my team: Rich Men Tell No Tales

Enjoyed how this game reversed the goal of one of the most widely made games online. It's a really interesting take on classic snake!

Loved the take on the theme! I enjoyed how the game-play manages to restrict the player in a fashion that forces one to carefully manage their resources. Loved the enemy designs as well!
