Thanks for the feedback, and your perseverance trying to get past the main menu bug!

Thanks for the comprehensive feedback :) We've taken note of these issues, and we'll endeavour to post a fixed version after voting is over!

Yes, we realised the cursor issue after submitting. Thanks for playing and the feedback 🙏

Thanks for trying our game! We noticed a few bugs just before the end of submission 😩 hopefully we can update it soon, for a better player experience 😃

Hey! Thanks for the comment.

I really appreciate that you appreciate the things that I put time and effort into. :)

Thanks! I was trying to do a full toon shader, but could only export the outline 😑

Sweet as, thanks for the reply!

BOOM BABY!

Loved the selection of weapons available; even if I was useless with the sword, lol
Great amount of content, and I thought the change in music really helped shift me from explore mode to kill mode

Well done!

I just had a look, nooo...kitty can't get in the box :(

Thanks for the feedback and the kind words!

It's my first time doing NaNoRenO (and making a VN, lol), do they usually give a theme like other game jams?

It's my second time trying out Blender, so thank you!

I made a sweet toon shader in Blender, but couldn't figure out how to export it to Unreal Engine :(

(1 edit)

I'll admit that "Let there be chaos" was easy for coming up with a themed game mechanic. But I'm finding it an interesting challenge to come up with a game mechanic for "It is not real"

Thank you!

Awww I really appreciate that, and I'm so glad to hear it!

Thank you :)

Such a cohesive experience! I felt like it fit the theme very well. It's amazing how much you managed to do in a week. Well done!

I managed to get 3 stars in my second run.

Oh my god, you played it for ages!

I can't say I'm really proud of this game, but by posting this, I became comfortable enough to attempt Brackey's Jam

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that

Ps: there's probably is no top of the tower...I think...

Here's my game! https://justinwongdev.itch.io/unstable

Far out, that really warms my heart. As someone who is primarily a programmer I only recently had the revelation that games should be fun. I watched these GDC talks about game feel (e.g. JW from Vlambeer talking about screenshake) and it really cemented the idea of fun and the player experience.

Yooooo OG Naruto! I definitely remember that fight. That's such a good analogy

Blown away about how you made this game, I would have no idea where to start without a game engine. Amazing job!

I managed to get just over 1000 pts =D

Wow...this is like the most perfect/ideal comment I could have hoped to receive. You touched on everything that I worked hard on, including the procedural level generation. You even posted your score! You've made my day. Thank you! =D

Thank you! I definitely agree. I had a bunch of other ideas for platforms, enemies, and level progression, but I had to cut them in order to finish on time. What are some things you would like to see if I did a post-jam update?

Thanks! Did you press or hold the keys down? Did you use WAD or the arrow keys? It could potentially be a fringe bug, which would be good to know about.

Thank you for the comprehensive feedback! There seems to be interest, so I'll be looking at optimising the game, fixing some bugs and adding more features after the jam is over :)

Thank you 🙏 I'd love to see more whacky games from you too!

Thank you! Your words are too kind ☺️

Thanks! I wish I could take credit for the music, but I found the track almost as soon as I started looking. Very lucky!

Thanks, appreciate it!

Thanks! Even after 6 days of playtesting, I was still terrible at the game lol

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

From one Justin to another, I loved the idea! I unfortunately had some issues when I tried to start a new game, and I was not able to shoot

The addition of the dropped bombs was a good idea! It stopped me from camping in one spot. Well done!

Cool idea!

Great graphics and atmosphere. I'm not sure if I discovered an exploit, where you can buy but not place an item and if there are no other items on the ground, you can heard the maids around with the held item

I quite liked the mechanics behind the control. Once I understood it, I found it really easy and rewarding to attack the dinosaurs, move out of their AoE attack, then attack them again and kill them. Well done!

Unique idea and mechanic. I actually enjoyed it alot!

I liked the juxtaposition between the anime art style and the monster's art style. I almost pooped myself the first time that massive, red-haired monster showed up

Thank youuuu!

I really appreciate that. This project was my first time trying out vector art, so it's reassuring to hear that it looks nice :)
