The concept is really cute and so is the art! I wonder how the scissors and extra fluff would have been involved if there were more levels. Good job overall though!

I really like the layering music that builds up through every stage. It was fun devouring everything once I had gotten bigger. The controls are quite slippery as it was hard to control the character and align myself properly to the food in the tadpole stage especially. In the final form I found myself getting caught on the small rocks too often which sort of ruined the momentum. With more precise controls I feel like this game would be a blast!
I like the exploration of the island a lot! I enjoy the fighting system - I think some pointers on how likely a successful attack is might make it more engaging as you sort out the best option. Having a way to change the camera or at least zoom out would be nice too to make the exploration aspect feel even more adventurous!
I died immediately when starting the game before I could understand what was going on - maybe spawning the character away from enemies instead of in between them might be good so the player may get their bearings straight first. It's quite hard in general, but it definitely has some good foundations. I find the visuals and sound good as well :)
The soundtrack is spectacular and the visuals are very cohesive and well done! I wish there was a way to speed up/skip the dialogue, and a more intuitive hitbox for both Despair and the attack - there were times I felt I was hitting but Despair's HP bar didn't go down. Visually I think changing the contrast between Liam's sprite and the background could help as the dark palette had me lose him momentarily a few times, especially when doing a dodge roll. Overall this is a really good play and I'm intrigued where it may develop!
