I managed to beat the boss, I liked to see a metroidvania that uses a Metroid approach rather than a Castlevania approach to the fighting feature. I didn't really like the acceleration movement which made it difficult to move precisely, maybe decrease the force a bit so that it feels easier to control with a major accuracy the movement of the player
Awesome, well done! Glad you enjoyed the fighting. The part about the movement is probably right, we will try to improve it in the future, thanks for your feedback!
What a fantastic job you've done, it looks and sounds great! I'm no platformer person so I didn't reach very far but still progressed more than anticipated which is thanks to the fun idea. ^^
Hmm, I think it was where you can collect some grey/black little item (couldn't see what it was x)) which I guess was the jump boost update(?) high up, where there was also one of those electric things. Sorry I can't be more specific, my memory is so bad. But yeah, I quit by then, after several tries of getting up there!
Many thanks! We tried to make use of tools that enabled us to create content easily (e.g. Godot's TileMap tool for designing levels quickly, or using the objects we created for multiple purposes). Glad you enjoyed our little game :)
We appreciate your kind words very much! :) The pixel art in Boltby's Big Day looks already very good! Making pixel art is such a fun and relaxing activity in my opinion, so good for you for picking up that new skill!
Fun, humorous tone and well-done artwork. I especially enjoyed the respawn and background art - the floating planets detail was awesome. I suck at jumping so couldn't get too far, but I enjoyed the concept.
Oh, you need to unlock the dash ability in order to get past the second laser, you can unlock it if you go to the left and then upwards after you reached the first checkpoint. There you can find the green arrows icon, which unlocks the dash. Maybe we should have made it clearer you need the dash in order to progress.
Thank you! Oh, yeah, the boxes can sometimes be quite buggy if provoked... Maybe we need to tweak some values of their Rigidbodies Sorry about the loud sound, but at least you can change it in the pause menu.

Neat platformer. I included it in my Buddy Up Jam: Winter 2022 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Thank you! Yes, already saw the video, thanks for playing and uploading it :)
Loved the setting, who wouldn't want to be a rooster with a gun on a BIG spaceship?
Thank you! Yes, exactly!!!

Just beat the demo! I like the progression of abilities and the metroidvania-esque style of it. It plays really well and enjoyably so!
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it :)

That's so kind of you, thanks a lot! If you don't mind me asking, how far did you manage to progress? :)

Ah okay, I think you might mean the WaveBlaster Gun ^^
Impressed with the amount of content you dished out for the jam. Game looks good and plays well! :)

So cool what you guys managed in two weeks! I've recently started learning pixel art and seeing stuff like this is super motivating!

Well done. An incredible feat.
Thank you so much! 🙂
Took me a reload to get the controls to work for some reason, but glad I persevered - I really liked the snarky text (yes I did shoot myself XD)
Oh weird, never encountered a problem with the controls not working.
Glad you liked it and managed to get it to work though! :)

Thanks a lot! :) Could you tell us where you got stuck? Maybe we could improve future versions of the game by making certain areas less annoying.
The part shooting lasers, couldn't do the 2nd long jump.

enjoyed the game alot! managed to get soft-locked once with the small blue box that you need to dash off of
i liked the metroidvania-style of the game, nice big ship to explore.
only problem i had was that some sounds were quite loud when at the default volume
Thank you! Oh, yeah, the boxes can sometimes be quite buggy if provoked... Maybe we need to tweak some values of their Rigidbodies
