This was an awesome game, I had a ton of fun playing it! The controls felt good, the visuals were consistent, and it was challenging enough to keep you involved. I was very relieved to find you restarted the level and not the whole game when you lost. I did find that sometimes my crossbow bolts would go through the arms of the normal enemies, but great job overall!

fun game, the sound effects really suited the enemies! the mage guy really took me by surprise! i died when about 100 of the melee enemies all spawned at the same time haha

Cool game, great presentation and enemy sounds were nice. Combat against normal enemies got pretty tedious though, but against mages it felt good, as you had to position yourself more and they didn't have that much hp. Something like slash attack to hit multiple enemies would help against stacks of three and more normal enemies

Really cool game, had much fun playing it. Mages are strong, i've only was able to pass level with 3 of them in the end. Combination of goblins and mages is really challenging. Would've be awesome if there was secrets with powerups, like +1 max health.

Yeah true, it feels a little empty with all that action going on. I tried to strictly keep myself to Kenney assets, though.

Yup. Cleaning up the catacombs is pretty much is after lunch routine.
This game was so good looking, fun and concise. Congratulations on making it such a cohesive aesthetic and fully retro stile. Loved the audio work on the SFX with the retro bit texture. The enemies were very engaging too. Kinda wished that the levels weren't so repetitive and that there were background music to give it more depth

True that I got carried away by the level design a little bit, because it was so easy to build them and add to the game. I'll sort it out after the voting period
I got a little dizzy/disoriented (maybe because of there is a lot of contrast in the textures, and there are only three colors in the environment) and claustrophobic (low ceiling), but I guess it added to the suspense I felt while exploring the dungeons! Gosh, those enemies scared me when they first talked. I spent most of the game running away 😅.

You're correct about the visuals. Maybe I should make the floor and the ceiling different colors, that would make things a bit easier for the player
The combat is tense. When I heard 3 of the enemies saying surrender or die at once I jumped in my seat! It could be made a little easier, at least for the beginning. On another note, I really like the combat feedback and the overall style of the game. It feels good to kill an enemy.
Thanks for the kind words! I spent a bit of time to get the hit feedback right. Since it's the thing you do the most in the game, it made sense to spare the time to make it as good as possible. That meant other things (like balancing) went out of the window ^^

The sword is a bit hard to use in my opinion but other than that that's a cool game ! Cheers

I really like this game. The voice alerts are intimidating especially when you alert 4 or 5 at a time!
