It’s tricky to control but a really fun mechanic to play around with! The fact that falling teleports you exactly to your last position helps a lot when trying to experiment with things. I think the trickiest part for me was the three consecutive ledge jumps, but it felt pretty good once I got to the top :) I was able to skip using the phantom on that last jump before getting to the room with all the decorations, you can just barely clear it from one edge to the other with a regular jump, which I thought was cool to be able to do hehe. I was a little unclear if that room is supposed to be the end or not, as there doesn’t seem to be an end screen or anything, but if there is actually something beyond that little staircase area I could not find it. Fun little experimental game!

Thanks so much for the kind words! It's so glaringly obvious to me in hindsight that a "Getting Over It" style game is not a good fit for a game jam, but well, now I know. For what it's worth, I do plan on updating the game as soon as the judging period is over to add a sort of "checkpoint" ability as well as some other fixes I didn't have time for during the jam.
I'm really glad you figured out the momentum trick for getting the 8th tablet! I wanted it to be subtle, but not impossible to figure out, so to hear that someone managed to find it on their own makes me happy.
I had a lot of fun with this one, although it did take a few rounds for me to get the feel for what was happening at first. The health and speed bars aren't immediately intuitive to me, although I was able to figure out through context what was what after enough time. Also I love the leaderboard implementation! Very cool idea to put in a game jam game :)
What a gorgeous game! The art and music/sound is absolutely fantastic. The gameplay also feels pretty solid once you have momentum going, especially during the boss fight and toward the latter half of the platforming sectiong! Moving around in tight spaces can feel a little bit awkward though. Also, I never thought I'd say this, but I think you actually respawn too quickly after taking damage. there were many times where I died to the same spike 3 or 4 times in a row because as soon as I hit it, I was teleported immediately behind it and still running, straight into it again. That said I love the momentum idea for the explosion ability, and would be interested to see more platforming sections with that. Great stuff!
