Exactly so. For me this is perfection in terms of a full body portrait, it may be difficult for some characters to fit in this style but this way the main attention of the player is going to be drawn to the character's appearance first since it is 'in front' of the chatbox, which is the whole point of having a full body portrait on display. That's at least how I look at the portrait when it's presented this way.

I think adding face portraits (only the face, big and clear on the left side of the box) is easy enough to apply so I go for them. But then, you can add the option for the players to turn on and off a full body portrait (if you ever add clothing mechanic to the game this allows the players to take full advantage of the a full body portrait too).
And as for what version of the full body I like... I think a slighty different version 4 is the best. Make the character bigger and keep the chatbox that size, I don't know if it would be too much of a hassle, but add the character in a way they cover juuuust a bit of the side of chatbox, in my opinion it makes the dialogues more pleasing to look at, plus it makes the character seem more alive as it is interacting with the chatbox.
As much as starting over seems like it's going to be a big task (and it is), you can always remember that you have the current version of the project as a very strong base. The writing/dialogues, art styles, templates, maps and plot is all done and it's good, so you can use all that as the base for the new project instead of starting from scratch, which probably will help out a lot.
It's a shame that the coding can't be re-used and it's mostly likely that you will need to start that all over. But at least you won't need to worry about performances issues and bug that happens because of the engine verison difference over the years, so that's that at least. Plus, since you've grow as a developer, this also means you can make the game be closer to your vision.
Hmmm, i think something like Futakin or Futaling would fit better as a title. Futa Valley is also good, but too simplistic. Rather, going for something different for the title brings more attention to it which is always a good thing since the title is the first thing someone sees on a game.
It's always good to hear from you Mofu. Your artstyle is one of my favorites and i always love to see news of your dedication to your game, is very refreshing when someone gives so much love to their project.
It's fine then. It would be cool to have them join you while adventuring around Psema and unlocking more romance events or just cute dialogues even if they don't join the team for fights and just added more dialogues or events outcomes, but if you didn't make the game to work like this it's cool. Less likely to rise more problems with the code later on.
Do you plan on adding comments from Hana in the minotaur cave? It's really disturbing and strange that she don't say anything upon meeting Azar or any other comment before the fight with the boss.
Also, i tried bringing Hana with me to fight Illfang and while you can take her before beating Illfang, the game will consider as if you've already killed him so you miss the dungeon and the fight. So maybe the way to the mist forest should be blocked before killing Illfang, just so no one makes this mistake (i had a save before getting Hana so it didn't trouble me).
I know that this is late, but i finished all my playthroughts up until version 3.1.8. And i found it really odd that Hana never commented anything about Azar when she joins in the minotaur cave.
Is strange but compreensible that she wouldn't say anything in any routes other than the blood mage, but there's no comment whatsoever. And from what i gattered about Hana is that she is full of herself and she is possessive. She seemed to really dislike Azar too from what i read in her voice lines. It's really strange and even unsettling.
Unfortunately i didn't test what would happen if i had Hana with me when i go to beat Ilfang, i did see the extra dialogue with N'Gombe because i did go immeadiately to Shilai to get her after i dealt with Illfang.
Also, here are some bugs in 3.1 version i have found.
First, some game crashing bugs:
-Horunka village's inn bard second talk with Hana on party gets a bug (didn't test if you can listen to him for the first time with her or the second time WITHOUT her)
-If you try to enter the cave between Urbus's mountains and the mute guard.
-Some BGMs crash the game because their name are wrong in the archive (i basically changed an _ for an ' in the file name and it fixed the problem), they are the following:
Florana's Happy, Florana's Fairy, Slenderman's Lullaby, Sorrow's Cessation
Now some non-renderized maps i found, didn't explore the Imperia Academia yet, i remember finding some of these there.
-N'Gombe cave
![](https://img.itch.zone/aW1nLzYwOTEyNTgucG5n/original/1cri4%2B.png)
-Illfang's forest
-Port (you can cross the fence here, very old one btw)
Now, some system problems i have found until now:
-Can't enter Blackcry
-Can't access the Stingy Path fromTolbana (the path is missing), can access Tolbana from the Stingy Path, but the MC appears in the Urbus path at the north.
-Pouring blood at the angel fountain don't give any status bonuses whatsoever, even if you already have a member on your party.
-The Self-made martyr perk don't work properlly (MC don't cover for his low health teammates, have yet to test the majority of the perks)
-Can't read the sale note for house in ToB, can't buy it in anyway because of this
-Confusing an enemy instantly make him stop bleeding (tested a lot of times with different enemies, even bosses), the same happen the other way around: an enemy will get out of confusion if the bleed state is applied (didn't test as throghoutly)
-Azar interaction at the angel statue inside the minotaur cave is still bugged: if you tell her about your 'dream' and choose the first option, the dialogue rewinds itself for example. You can replay the dialogue over and over again too.
-Azar deals WAY too much damage to N'Gombe, i beat him in one turn. It's literally TOO much damage. Illfang was a little more balanced, but still an easy fight. Frankly, the hardest enemies on the game are the slimes and the slime boss in sewers.
I yet explored everything to make sure i didn't miss anything, but these are the ones i have found for now.
Hope it helps. If you prefer, i can make a 'bug page' for 3.1 ver and post this there.
Wow, cool beans~ It's cool to see the stats coming into play like this. Then i expect every time i see a (lie) in one of the options, it's there because of the deception check?
Also, there's any problem with getting Hana before dealing with Urbus or even with Ilfang? I find it pretty darn concerning that i don't get much exp for her (i'm like 10 lvls in front of her) when i met her AFTER Urbus, but i also don't want Hana to damage my interactions with Azar when i go down the bloodmage playthrought (now i'm doing a berserker one, so it doesn't really matter).
I just wanted to know, since i didn't play the new version yet (since 2.5), so i don't know much about the new stuff.
Should you really be able to lie your way to the corpse buyers so much and so easily? Like really, it's too much free money; So i expect there were going to be downside to lying to them like this.
I actually got some screenshots of some of them, will take of the others i remember so you can pinpoint exactly where they are.

You can actually get to the raided village from here.
Got stuck here, sometimes i can't move the character anymore. Also, in this specific map, an error will appear and the game will close, it appears near the little girl and is mostly random, don't have a screeshot of it.
I can't pass this littl rock, don't know if it was intentional. Also, you can pass throught the tree next to the minotaur corpse bellow this spot.

The only berserk i've saw with a different sprite was the one that triggers the sex scene at the raided village, the others have the same sprite as normal minotaurs. The beserks at Ngombe's cave actually sometimes have the right ones, but some have the normal one too.
Regarding sex scenes: they are influenced by hormones i think, but do they rise or low the estrogen/testoterone? I got the androgeny perk at all my gameplays (minus the berserk one that i still need to go through) so i could get all the content/benefits of both aspects but didn't think throught rising or lowering the stats. That said, i still didn't get any scene or event with female characters, only male ones, so that could mean i didn't have enough testoterone maybe? Also, i only got the androgeny perk regarding the testoreno/estrogen stats, no other perk.
Also, sorry from breaking the commentary into two: why some states counter themselves? I do understand a few ones, like paralysis and bleeding.
But why confusion and bleeding counter themselves? When i confuse an enemy that is bleeding, the bleeding just stops and the other way also is true. It just doesn't make sense for me
Ok, thanks!
Other that that, i've seen some misspelling here and there, the font is not very well formated as it breaks lines of dialogues constantly and some spots in the map are not well renderized so you can enter walls and it eventually crashes the game, but those are things that you will probably look further into the development so they are immaterial for now, just stating some things i saw.
About the quests: In the Oath of Silence quest, i've questioned the other guard about the situation and got all the backstory, but in the quest log it states that i still need to ask the guard about it. I think, if i'm not mistaken, that i saw the quest log progressing further after i read it just after talking with the guard, but when i loaded my save it returned to this and the dialogue with the other guard doesn't trigger anymore.

Got it. And one thing about resources, i think you should put a limit in how much you can obtain. You have too much available all at once, be it exp or itens/consumables;
You can actually keep farming and/or buying herbs and such, then get easy money crafting potions and selling them. That's how i bought the house in the 1st floor btw.
The prime example being the unlimited amount of exp you can get, for people who like RPG and don't mind grinding like me the game simple get too easy after some time. I beat Illfang in just a few turns in my berserker playthrought because of this;
If you don't mind an idea, you can make the mobs stop appearing in some area after you've killed enough of them, like they got scared of you. And then make they reappear after a long time without killing them there. It's good for balance so you don't need to make the bosses way stronger.
I will just comment saying that you are spelling bullshit mostly, like really.
First. We only have the first floor available for now so we don't have acess to ALL weapons or ALL skills because the lack of easy XP to lvl up. I don't even understand why you are commenting on 'why all the equips aren't available in a fricking DEMO'.
Second. You don't have just one save spot, you can have multiple saves so if you do something, buy something, trigger something, etc you didn't want to, you can have a lot of saves as backup so you don't screw yourself, stop being lazy.
Third. You think the game is unbalanced because it's difficult? LMAO! It's unbalanced, yes. But because it's WAY too easy. It's a fricking RPG, you can grind to hell and even bosses get easy to beat, plus all the classes have a really strong build to them, you can literally test it. Once again, lazyness.
Fourth. And the only thing you said that makes any sense. The enemy encounters, i do feel that it should just be one or limit the in-map encounters to special fights/events. Having so much XP available makes the game too easy.
So, the thing is: get out of your lazy-ass high horse and try to make contructive critics instead of crying like a baby because you think it's hard to play a fricking RPG.
I noticed something i didn't before. When you find Kaliska's team for the first time, even if help them against the kobolds Bran will ask why you didn't help them.
And another point in the same event, even if you met Kaliska before (together with Hana, fighting the bears) she and yourself acts as if you didn't meet before.

Happened at the mines, in the room full of rats and corpses. After you buy and learn one of Raggs's voodoo recipies and try to use on the hexagram in the same room, don't know if using another hexagram would do that or not.
I agree with you. I choose a lot of crit+agility in my scout run and it was too easy to pass the floor (I passed Illfang being just lvl 3, and i wasn't even farming xp, it was just from the side quests), it's even more op than 'full atk dmg' berserk or 'mountain life' blood mage.
Maybe bosses should receive less damage from crits? Plus status resistances are the dream, not immunity. There are bosses that are way too powerful in some floors and i remember only passing then because of a 'one turn paralysis' lucky shot ( i remember the majority of bosses one-shotting Hana with aoe dmg).
I will listen some that i had noticed here, hope you don't mind.
There's a house in the northside of Illfang's forest that i can't interact with. I don't know if it's a problem or if the house hasn't been added in the game yet.
Another thing that i don't know if should be reported is the fact that some NPC appears with the old, smaller sprites (like the poet in the village west of Illfang's forest.
