What an adorable little story. Good stuff!

The player character's head was the only thing I noticed that was jittery or perhaps blurry is a better word for it. Only happens when moving the character. The physics interpolation suggestion might be the wrong call. It could just be that the movement animation on the head is not aligned for a few frames, creating a stutter/blur effect. I'm just guessing though.

After reaching the end, the entire message of the game was clear. The excessively long hallway was justified to bring forth the lesson/reminder. Thank you for making this.

I remember selecting "interpolation" on a rigidbody before to fix the jittery behavior for unity physics objects. Not certain if that will help, but hope it does.

I'm a huge fan of using primitive shapes here for all the characters. There's a certain charm to it, but perhaps that's the programmer in me talking.

Also, impressive work adding several mini-games towards the overall experience of telling a story. Much respect to you!

Thanks. I was focused on making the coin interaction feel nice above all else. In the code, there is reference to opening doors for loot when you swipe up, but I didn't get around to adding visuals to opening these so called "doors". Was happy with the results regardless.

Thank you for the kind words. I cannot take credit for the creation of those sound effects or visuals, as they were purchased awhile back. I merely put them in the place I deemed fit :)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm so glad you noticed the varying sound effects! They were purchased from an asset sale a few years ago. I wrote a script to randomize from a set of coin sounds to pick from when the coin is tapped. Same is true for swiping up/down on the coin.

The art direction is fantastic. Game feels polished as well.

Some visual feedback when hitting enemies would have been a nice touch. Otherwise, good job!

Character movement feels fantastic

Open door... :)

O_o wtf just happened?!

lmao nice little jam game

The art style is dope, good job!

Panic reload simulator! Nice job on this one!

Charming little platformer! Nice jam entry :)

Me protec door, but door no protec me...game over.

Thanks for the suggestions. Definitely going to consider a scoreboard and some form of permanent progression.

Nice entry! Those little feet, shuffling about, had me smiling the entire time : )

Today I learned about the existence of Azerbaijan. Thank you for the lesson.

Really shows you how important it is to be nice to your door. It could just get up and leave at anytime and leave you trapped in a room!

Short and enjoyable little game. Add sfx and character animations, then I'd call it a successful jam entry.

Fun and charming, well done!

The "0 - 9" keypad was bugged for me. Clicking "9" will input "10" and clicking "0" will input "9".

Love the art direction!

Had fun with this one, good stuff!

Nice, those are some good ideas!

Today, I learned that keys can be used as weapons. They come in deadly variations, especially Ex-key-libur!

Neat game, good work.

I would recommend changing the keybinding for switching between look/use. The ESC key takes you out of full screen in the WebGL player.

Glad you enjoyed our game and thank you for the suggestion.

Thanks Sebastian! Interesting how you portrayed the art style as a perception blur of memories. The idea to depict everything in black and white was definitely planned. During the initial few hours of brain storming several game ideas for LD42, our artist was sketching a character on paper. Once we decided to go with "Unfamiliar", he showed us his sketch (which turned out to be George). We thought the black on white sketch style art would be great for this topic and would help portray a sad atmosphere.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed our game and thank you for writing a wonderful article.

Thanks for playing! To answer your question,  two of our developers had family whom showed signs of the symptoms of Alzheimer's.

Thanks for the feedback! Speeding up the clouds over time is not a bad idea.

Interesting analysis and ideas. Definitely good points to consider moving forward.

Haha, that was a good read. I very much enjoyed this comment. Also, thanks for playing! Glad you liked it!

Neat concept! Fun and challenging! Player got stuck between wall and spike wall, but was fun up to that point. Otherwise, well done!

Thanks! It was built with simplicity in mind. I wanted the players to easily pick up and play the game.

Once the voting process if over, I intend to make some adjustments. I'm considering the suggestions to make the obstacles outright kill the player, or at least more punishing to collide with one. This would most likely force a reduction in the amount of debris falling from the sky, otherwise it would be nearly impossible to survive!

Anyway, I appreciate the detailed feedback and thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you sir! I appreciate the detailed feedback. This game is the first of many to come!

Found gun. Found bullet. Shot at scary thing. Realized scary thing wasn't the thing I needed to kill. IT becomes hungry. IT chases me. Frantically looks for another bullet. Turns corner. Gets eaten. 10/10 would get eaten again.
