How does your game fit the theme?
There are doors to another dimension where the levels are slightly different.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
The code was made during this week or is modified default code from Godot, most assets are placeholders and some were made prior to the jam for other projects.
The doors and the red and blue terrain sprites were created during the jam.

Actually it was a pretty good game in terms of gameplay. The mechanic introduction feels smooth, starting from entering the door, you jump out of the door in stage 2, and doors are mixed with the moving platforms in the last stage. The platforms in the different dimension are also telegraphed well, this is a pretty good QoL feature.

I'd suggest showing paths of the moving platforms. In stage 2 I didn't know there was a moving platform on top of the stage so I just did a leap of faith and found nothing, which confused me for a bit.  Also the moving platforms suddenly changing direction in stage 4 felt unfair. Showing how the platforms move would solve these problems.

Developer

Thank you for playing, while I wasn't the one to make the moving platforms, I would agree that they could be improved by showing their movement path like you said.

Actually actually one was my favourites fun wise! Good job controls need to tightened though

Developer

Thank you :D

Also thanks for the advice, I'll bear that in mind for future games.

Hello there!! :P

You made a really fun game, the base concept is really fun and the levels are challenging and lights a fire in you and makes you wanna complete the game and that feeling in itself tells me that this is a good submission.

It would have been nice to have some animation and simple audio(not music) in the game would have been much more fun. But nothing to be worried as nothing stopped me from finding the secret room.

Kudos for making a entertaining game. Have a great day!!! :D

Developer(+1)

I was hoping someone would find that ;)

Hopefully we'll make something more polished next time.

Thank you, we are new to music in games so didn't do it this time. Also I will try to play your game before the end of the voting period :D

The base concept is working well. I was a bit disapointing to see that there is only two level :(

Developer

There are 4 levels plus a tutorial, maybe the menu room is not clear enough.

GREAT GAME RELLY FUN I ENJOY PLAYING IT

Developer

Thank you for playing :)

It's a fun platformer, having to think ahead, what happens after you change dimensions. It's challenging and the movement is smooth! Not sure if there are more levels after 4, but I did want to keep playing :D Well done!

Developer(+1)

Sadly we didn't make any more levels but the positive feedback we have received may motivate us to update it after the jam(if we can think of more uses for the mechanic) I can't guarantee we'll update though.

The game needs more polishing but the concept is good and the game is already playable and fun as it is.

Developer

Thanks, we ran out of time and didn't communicate properly when it came to assets which is probably why it needs more polish.

This is a crazy game. Very few games have the mechanic with the red blue thing like if you enter on the door the room gets blue and you walk through and then you can't anymore because there is a wall but if you press again then it gets red and the wall isn't there anymore. This is a very cool game.

Developer

Thank you for playing, I'm glad that you enjoyed the dimension mechanic :)

I really like puzzle game, nice one! One of the few games i have finished! I wonder if there are more options for unique puzzles in that style

Developer

Thank you. I expect that if we added more mechanics such as the implemented but unused keys it would open up even more possibilities,.

I played your game because you have a red panda pfp uwu

I like the 2 dimensions thing and you take adventage of the momentum you have and that you an enter the door while jumping, pretty cleaver!!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, the simultaneous jumping and reality shifting was https://hyru1e.itch.io/'s idea.

I'll play your game before the end of the voting period :)

Short and enjoyable little game. Add sfx and character animations, then I'd call it a successful jam entry.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, when it comes to the animation, we were close to having an animated sprite but things got in the way so we ended up using a placeholder sprite. Unfortunately we completely forgot to add audio and I'm completely new to sound design in games.

I liked this game! The platforming was really fun, especially when combined with changing dimensions. The main menu was a bit confusing, though.

The mechanic and the levels are nice, it just needs audio, animations and an annoying thing is that if you try to move left or right but you still have enter pressed then you don't move.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks, we had some wip animations and audio but due to complications, we were unable to implement them. Also I'm unable to reproduce that bug(although that may be due to the os I'm using), could you give us more information on how to replicate it?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I played it on the web version and to reproduce the bug you have to jump and press enter and if you're still holding jump and enter you can't move left or right, the moment you release one of these you can move.

Developer

Weird, that's probably just a result of how web ports in Godot handle inputs.
