Such a nice game. The retro-style gave me nostalgic. It was really fun !

Wow this was such a unique game. The graphics and the audio were such a nostalgic vibe, I liked them both a lot. The theming and using Janus was brilliant, not only using doors but having to pay attention to determine which of the faces is a liar. My only feedback is that dying to the enemy in the second floor felt very punishing, I think I would have liked it better if it just put me back to level 2 instead of going to the main menu. Other than that, you guys did a great job and made something very polished! Well done! If you have some spare time I would love it if you tried my game too.

Really nice game! I love the retro music and graphics. I like the concept of discerning  the truth from lies. I don't know if I'm a fan of the movement though, especially when I'm beeing chased by enemy.

Really cool game, i liked the music style and the puzzle element especially trying to not get tricked by the heads, it was really fun, one thing tho i wished if i could just hold the move button instead of having to press it every time to move forward but other than that it was a great experience.

I have cleared the game! I think it was very cool and fun puzzle game. As somebody else already mentioned, when enemy hits the player it goes back to the first level was demotivating. But that's the only feedback, I think you guys done really awesome job!

Developer

Thank you for playing, and for the feedback! The idea behind the enemy is that getting caught is a game over (you die before you completed the trials) which is treated differently from just making an incorrect choice, but I agree that a full reset is pretty harsh of a punishment.

The music is absolutely fantastic and I really enjoyed the puzzle aspect of figuring out which of the heads is telling the truth. My first time through I messed up and chose the wrong door - I didn't realize what "leads to the past meant" so I thought I got a game over, but then I figured it out and progressed the second time.

This is a VERY cool concept and is well executed. I hope you get the ratings you need. This deserves to rank!

Congrats and thanks for playing/rating Untangled. We really appreciate it!

OMG that music! I liked the movement system too!

All excellent! well done!

The game felt very retro. It reminded me a lot of old, low poly, Nintendo Ds or ps2 games. The art direction was really good and I like the music a lot.

Overall really great, I liked it a lot!

Fantastic game! One of the best games I played in this jam, loved the unique art style reminiscent of classic games, and the audio was a treat. The concept was enjoyable and made for a fun experience. Great job!

as the art director for this game ( my first one creating all the 3d assets) that makes me really happy to hear :)

I like the graphics, and its an nice concept !

I liked the old school design and control scheme. Never really played dungeon crawlers before, but i had fun with this one. Feels pretty polished as well, the hard resets to the start of the level can be a bit demotivating.

Other than that, a very nice game!

Developer

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback!

The idea behind the resets is that one door leads to the future/the end while the others lead to the past/the beginning. While I think it works thematically, I agree that it can be tedious in terms of gameplay.

Yeah, the reset with the doors is okay, but i accidentally gave the wrong offering and got the whole level reseted. But thats mostly my own fault for not reading properly :D
