Use steam to map the controller onto the game if you add it as non-steam game. Would work. Tho Imo you kill the vibe of the ps1 by doing this x)

What about steam mate ? Have you give a thought about it instead of relying on third party tools ?

W7 is ok as long as the game run on dx11 or below. XP only support 9 and below afaik

> Windows XP definitely only supports DirectX 9, I have no idea why people still have this OS, it's a defective OS prone to errors and viruses than Windows 7.

Like Jummy said, linux is a good way to go for old compatibilities for older games

Edit: not to mention the game prob run on dx11 around so definitively not Windows xp. A game being "PS1" graphic like doesn't mean it can run on older hardwares. Since the game is made under UE4, don't expect it to be fully functional everywhere x)

A pacific cheat code would be nice to draw a map out of the area, both for normal night and darker

W/o any details there's no specific solution to fix that. Either you're missing the game's dependencies (or need to re-install them), missing content inside the game that either got corrupted or just got deleted/not downloaded at all. Config file messed up. Try to delete the whole game and re-install it to see. It's only 140Mb so it shouldn't take that long

Just like the cheat code that gives you the silly possibility to rename your death text into anything insulting for your own pleasure (or your for your audience for those on youtube/twitch) it would be cool to also rename the boss defeated text into anything as well. Even tho it would be a bit rare than dying, I think it's a nice little touch to add when she or the modders once the source code is public have free time to spend.

You're welcome

You can also wait until the release of the demake to make mods (since it will go open source at this time and only then), make a mod overhaul that replicates Bloodborne's difficulty, scale, AI behavior and such. Date of release in case you missed it on YT: 01/10/2022

It is preferable to use lutris in that case if you want to backup your save files (unless you know where proton prefixes are made for non steam games wise) and then create a lutris shortcut to the desktop and add it to steam. And as Jummy pointed out, use the wine-ge-custom on the game's config on lutris.

Runs fine on a custom TKG wine with lutris, you just need to create your own wineprefix environment for the game, wintricks dotnet35 and vcrun2019 (probably with the --force flag) onto that prefix and it should get your game up and running. This solution has been already told before.

the command : WINEPREFIX='insert/your/path/here' winetricks (--force if it doesnt work) dotnet35 vcrun2019
