It should have. Did you not encounter any puzzles in the second level?

Maybe I missed something but it seems like I couldn’t get very far in the prototype. I like the strong aesthetic and I think the concept has good potential from a gameplay standpoint. My biggest complaint is that the player’s body seems to have a lot of mass right now. The fans don’t feel very strong and react slowly, which means moving between them without falling out of the world is slow. Also, the FOV is low enough that it makes me a little nauseous. I can see the potential for this game to work with the themes of this jam, but I think you could do more to make that connection.

I’m very impressed by the level of detail in your plan. The art looks great, and it’s good to see you already have characters planned out. That being said I think this is quite an ambitious project. In particular, the Metroidvania aspect tends to result in quite large and complex levels that may be a stretch for this time frame.

Interesting concept! The gameplay sounds like a creative use of a fairly simple core mechanic. I would be concerned about making sure the player has a sense of control over their trajectory as that could become quite frustrating. Tonally it sounds like your narrative could be quite dark despite the relatively silly nature of tossing yourself around with a giant trash bag, so I would keep an eye on that. Personally, I think it sounds like you’re focusing more on the concept of insurmountable odds than “Changing the Story” so I would consider adjusting to be a little more optimistic. Yeah unfortunately the map came in very last minute due to none of us having 3D experience so things are a little rough 😅.

We were aiming for a simple shooter. Unfortunately, development is a bit incomplete due to some hiccups. You should be able to reload ammo with the ‘R’ button or switch weapons with the scroll wheel.

In a moment of brilliance, I removed our build in order to upload an updated version before realizing uploads were disabled. Unfortunately, I can’t restore the old build to this page.
