Oh, that's a nice little game :) I must admit, when I've seen it I kinda thought I'd hear crab rave as BGM :D

Enjoyable, easy to understand, the powerups were a little confusing, wasn't sure what some of them are but I've assumed there are all good and went ahead or actually sideways I guess... :)

Have a cookie for using Godot:

Haven't played Risk of Rain and can't remember any other game that did it like that. I think that once I've seen the effect of the Z attack for the first time a few pixels in front of my character I've assumed it's melee especially that it was before I've even seen first enemy :) I need to play your game with all the new knowledge later :D

Oh... that's a nostalgic game, remember playing a game like that (probably without enemies chasing you and shooting at you :D ) when I was a kid.

Great idea, very nice execution, it is too hard for me, would be nice to give the top of the hill less trees so the player have some time to get the feeling of the game. Also it wasn't very clear for me, with an exception of the trees, what I should avoid and what not, doesn't take long to learn that though :)

Thanks for playing :) Yeah, the game wasn't supposed to be so hard, I think we've pushed the version with incorrect parameters at the last minutes we worked. The laser was supposed to be slower.

Our building is being destroyed when the laser comes down... at least it's supposed to... (quickly running the game) oh, we haven't attached destroying to the side walls, only platforms have animation :D That would've been a 2min fix probably :D

Can't see anything spawning and flying half way across the screen with Z-attack :( Also... tbh I haven't realised there are two attacks, thought that there are 2 buttons for one attack and never used X attack, maybe that's why it was so hard when I was surrounded by enemies... :D

Yeah, the falling speed or the laser speed is what I meant when I was talking about balance parameters :)

I think in one of the last minute merges on GIT we've picked the wrong balance parameters :) it was supposed to be easier but still challenging. The running speed was supposed to be pretty fast but for sure it takes some time to master, our goal was to make the game more about falling and aiming for a next hole in the floor rather than stopping and running to the next hole :D But definitely we should've allowed more time for players to get comfortable with steering :)

Thanks for feedback and for playing :)

Could use a little bit more of a challenge and am I the only one that thinks that rats looks a little bit like teapots? :D

Melee wizard? That's odd :) I was thinking I'd have range attacks so I was a little bit surprised. The game looks really nice and after some polishing beyond the time scope of the game jam it could be really fun to play :) I didn't have any issues with moving around the map and some part with the issues with fighting were skill issues, I believe :D

Since you apparently really like issues (that's not healthy to eat so many in 72h, you know? but I'm not your doctor :D) so here have another one for using Godot:

Took me a moment to understand that I need to throw one ball at the other ball of the same type to score :) Would prefer to have some control where I want to throw the ball... :)

I was going to give you the cookie for using Godot... but I don't want to ruin the perfect number of cookies that answers it all.

Nice visuals :)

My initial thought was that I'd be able to control the distance as well, holding longer = bigger distance, without that it was kind of hard to guess where the ball will land.

Waving the sword (or other weapons) using mouse cursor was pretty hard... would definitely prefer to have it on a button or auto-swinging like in survivors-likes.

2 minutes, 4 seconds before the deadline

Working till the end I see :)

Only 2 cookies? Here have some more: and another for using Godot:

Oh, floors makes more sense, at least in the way I've played :)

Is that... a chess meets curling game? :D Crazy concept for a puzzle game... that works! If only I was a slightly less sleepy right now (still haven't recovered fully after the game jam :D) I'd love to try beat a level or two more.

I agree with the suggestions below that the reset button would be a great addition as other UI improvements.

It's too hard for me :D Looks great though! And the game concept is very interesting :)

Using your time to the fullest, I see! :D

If only it had some goal in it... I like the aesthetics and how you used the limitation. Logo grabbed my attention immediately! :D

Cookies eaten zero

Here, have one:

Oh, I see you had similar idea to ours :) Looks nice! My first thought was not too avoid white clouds though... not that it takes more than a few seconds to learn on mistake :D

Nice music! Found the game a little bit too easy, not that much engaging, maybe I should have tried playing over 1000 mark judging by other comments here. It's not easy to balance the game in 72h, I know... especially that you need to make the game first! :D Had some fun, good job! :)

That's very interesting concept and it looks good! I like quick switching to another weapon and the fact that pushing weapon down the tower can also be a tactic :D My first thought was to go down as fast as I can and I was a little surprised when I've seen that high score is based on how many enemies I've killed... maybe it's because of our game's concept though :)

Yeah, I know there is "Instructions" button in menu, but when I first tried your game the link didn't work, so I've downloaded the files and since index.html didn't work for me I've just started the game with easy-sth.html :) I've read instructions later when the hosted link started to work :) Existance of autoreload explains why I haven't died in the first seconds of playing :D

A game with a penguin!

Simple concept overall

But there is a penguin!

Could use a little bit better UI, first time I've played without reading instructions I didn't even know I have to reload, can't see any indication that the ammo is limited.

Penguin!

Visuals are great, nice clean menus as well.

Wonder if it's just because the version in a browser doesn't work that great...

Thanks for feedback! Cool avatar btw! :)

I will definitely check your game

Yeah, that is true. We really wanted to add some tutorial to the game... but couldn't find time for that. For the future game jams I need to set priority for that, even neglecting fixing some not crucial bugs :)

We've barely touched enemies balance and for sure they could use some better attack telegraphing :)

Thanks! Awesome job with your game as well!

the best game I've ever played about a demon-kissing wizard.

<3

Thanks for a nice comment! :) I'm just about to play your game, can't wait to see how you used the tileset :D
Yeah, the art part of the game was done very late and partly by me and I'm not an artist, just wanted to swap the Godot icon which we used for almost everything at the beginning for sth else :)
