Glad you liked the game. Thanks!

(1 edit)

The character is a little bit tricky to control, but the game itself is good. Nice job!

Oh, that is why! In case it's still relevant: "Game Options/HTML5/Graphics/Interpolate colors between pixels" should be turned off just like in a Windows version. Good job on the game, anyway!

This is an interesting take on a theme in a form of a puzzle platformer, good job!

A really cool runner game and my only concern is why have your team decided to not upload a HTML5 version, given that there's no limitation on that even while using the free version of GameMaker? Have you encountered any game breaking bugs or what? Just curious!

I liked the game. It's easy to understand and it's pretty fun to lead a horde of zombies! Good job!

Yeah, I was running out of time by the end of the jam and so I had to cut off some basic features. Thanks for playing!

Thank you, I appreciate your kind words!

"Feels like a really good distraction after playing Dead End Aegis." On a serious note: the game is beautiful, the colors masterfully accompany the style chosen. And that dithering and shading...? Oh, come on! That's like A LOT of work! Very impressive!

I am here to tell you that the mc's beard is awesome. The game is also pretty good with delivering a deserted island atmosphere. Nice project!

Thanks

Well, I tried to make the game more or less original. Thank you for playing Gargoyle Gambit!

I was praying that I won't missclick/misjudge/misplay/miswhatever when the cover was almost there after minutes of attempting to handle it. That's a pretty fun 2d physics game!

I suppose I went a little bit overboard with all that shooting/dodging chaos on a screen. Anyway, thank you for playing!

Quite an ironic game I would say as it truly shows the dark times we live in. Well done!

Glad you liked this aspect of the game. Thank you for playing!

Good little game, simple and straightforward. Nice!

It's a slightly weird choice for a mix of genres, but I really liked the end result. Thank you for playing!

It's a littly bit tricky to throw a crown at times, but overall I liked the concept. Good job!

Well, who knows? Maybe one day. Thanks for playing!

Quite a unique approach to a Match 3 type game. The layout of user interface and playing field is good. The game itself is very relaxing! Nicely done!

Thank you for playing! Regarding the interpretation of the theme: Gargoyles decaying by taking damage isn't the only thing that connects this game to an idea of "decay". Reaching a certain point in altitude will force gargoyles to destroy themselves with a 100% chance to spawn a big pile of rubble, which cannot be destroyed and will deal damage to the player if not avoided. As the game progresses this becomes even more of a challenge as failing to stop gargoyles from coming closer to the bottom of the screen will result in a very tough gaming environment where you basically have to dodge multiple rubbles at once. Also, there's a chance that decaying into rubble will happen anyway, regardless of how close the gargoyle is to the bottom of the screen. Thus, the name "Gargoyle Gambit" - Gargoyles come closer taking a risk of destruction, but at the same time they become deadlier. Hope that explains my vision of the correlation my game has to a theme of a jam.

I'm glad you appreciated the style. I had some troubles drawing those gargoyles, my friend even told me he thought they were spiders...Thank you for your kind words!

I've witnessed so much self-irony here. The entire time I've played I felt like a was struggling through one of those Mario Trap (or whatever they are called) games, which try to make you ragequit. Overall, a suprisingly enjoyable experience!

Hope that wasn't too offensive... Thank you for the feedback!

WOW! "Heart Locked" is a really polished product, vfx are amazing and the core theme (of Decay) is just oozing left and right. Well-crafted game, ScolonDev!

That's a nice step you've taken: releasing a game to a public is an important milestone! I should say, that I really like that you have side characters/bg elements to compliment the story. And don't worry, 48 hour jams are a challenge for a reason and you did fine. Hope you won't get discouraged and be too harsh on yourself! Good job!

Oh, my... Thank you for playing!

An interesting game with charming low-poly aesthetics. I'd say you've managed to make a lot for 3d game in such a short amount of time! Good job!

Thank you! I think that polishing a game is a really important element of a game jam, even as short one as we had. I had to sacrifice pushing out more content (like more enemy variations or power-ups, or variability in general), though. Tough choices, tough choices...

Haven't played topdown shooters for a while, so it was slightly challenging for me. Funky music, though! Good!

Thank you. Glad you've found my game to be somewhat of your interest!

Thank you! I really wanted to make a satisfying mix of genres, hope I managed to achieve at least a little bit of that.

This game feels nostalgic. Back in the days there were "those" flash game where you played as a fish or a predator and consumed others to become bigger and bigger. "Carrion" manages to give me a similar vibe, yet has it's own unique charm. I liked the game! Good job!

Well, you did. Thank you for playing!

Gorgeous pixel art with a subtle lighting, optimal color choice... And as the result there's a game that looks completely outstanding! Nice one!

Yep. Agree with you here, the screen gets flooded way too much and a wider range of enemies could probably make the game less stale. Thanks for checking out my game!

OMFG! Those sounds are incredible and instantly improve the game so much! Quite Impressive!

Thank you for playing! I tried to make the gameplay slightly more varied, wish I could do a little bit more, but I'm glad with the result anyway.
