Thanks for the feedback. In the beginning I wanted the progression to make sort of a "logical" sense. Like if you have wood, you can make a log cabin or something like that. But I quickly found I was limited by the Kenny Assets on hand for this particular game jam - and then I didn't have enough time to make something that previewed the materials needed. So I think if I was to take it further I'd consider both options. I appreciate you well thought out comment and for playing my game!

This one was definitely a thinker! I like the concept behind it though! Your tutorial walkthrough was very good as well - I always a appreciate when people take the time to add that to their game jam games (I unfortunately didn't get to it this time around). I really have no constructive feedback on this one as it feels like a complete game in itself. Maybe give a more casual player the option to play without the timer? 

Regardless - nice submission for the game jam.

Thanks for submitting your game! The mechanic is an interesting one. Depending on what you're going for (puzzle vs. platformer) you could limit the number of grows and shrinks per level. I think with some more time and polish the concept would shine a lot more.

Overall, the gameplay is pretty simple in this one - I don't know if there is much beyond planting and harvesting the wheat but you made something for the jam so good job! 

I can certainly see why this is such a popular game for this Jam! The level of polish is really high for a game jam game. The "pack" system is a really cool idea and I could see it being grown in to a much deeper gameplay element with more time, but with all that you've accomplished I think you should be very proud - nice job!

Great presentation in this game! The scene transitions and art style all looked really nice! One comment on the map. I sat on the screen for about 10 seconds thinking it was a loading screen until I realized I was supposed to do something. I think if the levels were colored with green dots or something it might have stuck out to me more. From a gameplay perspective, I think with a bit of polish this could be a very nice minimalist puzzle game - nice work in 48 hours!

It took me a second to understand how to play the game (despite your nice tutorial), but once I got into it was was pretty sucked in! I'm not the best typist so trying to keep up was stressful but that was definitely part of the fun of it. Really nice work and application of the theme!

I'm glad you liked the game - as for the most optimal number of turns, it's difficult to say since the map randomizes at the start of every game. I do think having more green hexes to start is helpful, but in my play throughs any thing from low to mid 20 turns was pretty good. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed my game!

Appreciate the comment! I agree with the feedback on the build system - just ran out of time but I guess that's the game jam life! After all the ratings are done I'm going to try and push a build with that in the game for the future - I think your idea of the hover makes the most sense from a UI perspective. Thanks for playing!

This game is really fun! Takes me back to playing "storm the house" on addicting games website haha. One thought on improving the game. I felt overpowered once I got a couple of the more expensive weapons. Maybe they should should have an "ammo limit per round" or something to force you to use all the weapons you made for the game. Nice work on this one overall!

I really liked that beginning into animation. The camera swinging in with the creator name and the name of the game was seriously professional looking! 

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I really wanted to add a hover-panel that showed the ingredients needed for the the the builds but I ran out of time unfortunately. I'm glad you were able to make it to the end of the game though - and 26 turns is pretty good!

Nice job with this one! Solid entry for a game jam. I think if you were to take this any farther one piece of feedback I would have is to make the scoring system time based (how long can you survive) and the collectibles to be something like sun light or sustenance. The idea being a player can't just sit and avoid objects, they have to collect or they will lose a life from not "feeding". This would provide a nice risk reward system for the game I think (but those are just my thoughts). I really like the game, the sounds, the art, and the way you tied it to the theme. Good job!

I like the concept of growing and shrinking to get through certain areas of the course! And your sound design was good too! For feedback, the biggest thing I struggled with was I couldn't seem to jump when I was against a wall or something, this made it a little difficult to navigate since I was constantly moving a bit off the wall and then trying to jump. Otherwise this was a fun till game and concept!

I had a little bit of a hard time with the controls initially, the jump felt a little out of control to me. But once I got the hang of it, it was pretty satisfying to chain together a few jumps off watermelons. I liked the strategy of trying to place melons and melons seeds in locations where it would allow you to jump higher. I fun idea!

Thanks! It's funny because I almost didn't add the sounds in since I was running out of time in the jam, but it was easier than expected and it seems to be getting good feedback. I'll take note of that for future jams. Appreciate you playing my game!

I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I wish the game could have been longer too, but under the time constraints it was hard to get the mechanics and dialogue and art done before the deadline. Your response is exactly what we were hoping our players would want!
