thank you for the kind words!
glad to know that we nailed the atmosphere :)
we initially planned to put a couple of notes & audio logs here and there to give player some sort of guidance on where to go next. but due to time constraints, that bit unfortunately didn't make it into the game yet. but should we have time to polish it further, yes, placing some notes would be a priority
the movement thing probably had to do with the window size
while playing windowed i can run just fine, but when it goes fullscreen the game thinks the player is facing another direction
thankyou for the kind words!
automation did came to our initial plan actually. initially we planned for some automation with the launcher building, but unfortunately didn't make it to the current build due to time constraints. so as of now, the launcher can be built, but it has no real use yet
in the last few days we just realized the scope is bigger than we initially thought lol (as always)
but should we decided to polish the game further, yes, we could implement some automation features
i enjoyed dodging bullets & clicking off baddies in this game
however, the game progression isn't quite clear in my opinion, my suggestion is either make the game displays which level you're on, and/or some kind of indicator whether you finished a level or lose the game
in my opinion, each one of the enemy character could be further emphasized based on their behavior
for instance, the green one could be some kind of homing missile, the red one could be some kind of bull that charges at you, etc
also, enemy interacting/killing off eachother could provide some interesting gameplay, so you can make the green one obliterates the blue one when they collide eachother, but when the green collide with the red one, they get stronger, for example
hi, thankyou for playing!
glad you enjoyed the game!
i was actually gonna make the textbox editable and all that so you can select them all and delete it, but i couldn't get it right during the jam. but mapping a button to clear the entire text should be no problem. gonna add it should i have the time.
the break session initially was going to be a 'shopping' feature where you can trade stuff (like trade 1 cash for +1 in other stats) but i scrapped it due to time constraints. but instead of ditching it entirely, i decided to just turn it into a place you could rest your fingers for a while.
and for the progression part, initially i was going to add some kind of 'wild goose chase' narrative (like buying increasingly expensive guidebook to enlightenment) but again, due to time constraints, i decided to turn it into an endless game instead, as it is now.
also, for the music, music made by LAKEY INSPIRED & dixxy should be safe to use, as long as you credit them properly, which i did on the game over screen.
thankyou!

thankyou for playing! glad you appreciated the easthetic

I agree, keyboard typing sounds and a couple of sounds indicating attributes going up & down would've been nice
btw i was going to add the 'MC lose' thing you mentioned and a couple of random MC images chilling in the break session initially, but i decided to ditch those feature entirely because of the time constraint lol. maybe i'll add those stuff later when the time allows
thankyou for enjoying our little game! :)
artist here,
actually, i joined the team while the game is already in development
by the time i joined, one music for the level is already done, so i came up with visual that complements the calming atmosphere & overall theme of the game. it's kinda weird for my experience, because usually the visual comes first, then the audio is made based off the visual, not the other way around. however i'm pretty satisfied by the result & i'm glad you liked it!
thankyou!
our level designer MegaProgramGuy did an amazing job in making sure the level feels good & satisfying to play
we made the initial map big to accomodate larger levels should we want to continue expanding the game post-jam
but i agree with you, right now the map is too big for those levels
you were so close to the finish line~~
artist here,
yeah i agree, probably a small animation of the growth phase (maybe make it fades between growth phase ) would at least make those static tree images more sense
i don't know much about unity though, but the game was initially made for desktop, so we thought changing it to webgl wouldn't be a problem
but after i tried it myself, yea, i just realized the ESC thing is kinda annoying on the web lol
i think remapping the pause button to other button like 'P' or 'enter' should fix it
anyway, i'm glad you have a good time playing
thankyou!
