i enjoyed dodging bullets & clicking off baddies in this game
however, the game progression isn't quite clear in my opinion, my suggestion is either make the game displays which level you're on, and/or some kind of indicator whether you finished a level or lose the game

in my opinion, each one of the enemy character could be further emphasized based on their behavior

for instance, the green one could be some kind of homing missile, the red one could be some kind of bull that charges at you, etc

also, enemy interacting/killing off eachother could provide some interesting gameplay, so you can make the green one obliterates the blue one when they collide eachother, but when the green collide with the red one, they get stronger, for example

Developer

Definitely noted. "the game progression isn't quite clear" yep heard that a lot..." further emphasized based on their behavior" honestly i think since they attack quiet fast u understand whats going on pretty easily. Except for the green guy. i made it to where u can drag and drop him onto enemies an he'll blow them up (enemy interacting). "enemy interacting" : i suppose i couldve added a bit more.

Anyways thanks for the feedback. ;)

whoops, sorry,
i didn't read the description entirely about the green guy, that's on me
i thought the control are just left & right clicking

the enemy appearance is just my personal preference though,
they already looks good as it is now

This is so much fun.  I really enjoyed this.  It reminded me of Dont Die, Mr Robot.

I think the only thing that really let it down was there was limited animation in the visuals.

But this has real potential for me.

Developer

"real potential" damn sonnnnnnn. thank

"limited animation in the visuals": yep. game jam be like that...honestly, i just slapped some camera shake on it and hoped it would be enough.

Weaving through the projectiles was fun and I thought the sound design was nice. The enemy designs are all very readable as well.

Developer

Damnnn . thanks thats nic

Very fun! I like the punny take on the theme; the controls felt really nice! I was a bit confused about when I died vs when I completed the level, some feedback like an explosion of particles or a death sound effect when you die or a victory sound effect when you complete the level might make this a bit clearer. Also sick boss fight!

Developer

yep. plenty of peps told me dat. too bad it was already too late.... sad.
welp glad u liked it anyways ;)

"Also sick boss fight! " : really?? honestly i was having trouble with them. had to redo several times the blue boss

Fun little game. Simple controls and decent progression. Would maybe suggest a bit more on-screen feedback to the user as to what's going on as they play.
Good work :)

Developer

thanks. yeah thats def the main issue. next time i'll def pay more attention to feedback

I enjoyed the resource balance you have to do where you have to spend life to attack, but doing so obviously makes you more vulernable. It's also nice that it regenerates, letting you switch between offence and defence in a very dynamic way.

Some death indication or level complete indication would have been nice to have. There were too many instances where I'm not sure if I beat the last enemy on a screen or it killed me, as the transistion screen looks the same in both instances (and it didn't help that the green guy somehow kept killing me even though it died?)

Developer

i realized that but it was the last minute and i didnt know how to implement it.... but now i realized im stupid. I coulve just put a bit of delay before reloading the scene (aka starting over). that way u can see how u died.
As for the green guys, they explode when u kill them. u can drag and drop them onto enemies. u prob didnt understand cause it wasnt clear how u died.
ARGHH. why didnt i think about that sooonnner.

glad u liked the mechanic. :)

Pretty fun the game, The controls were fluid and interesting, using mouse only was also a nice idea. And the difficulty felt good.  Nice Job!

Developer

Developer
