Hi, all! All three of these tracks are reversible and sound exactly the same played in reverse (Challenge C).
I played a lot of Frostpunk last month, so I initially had the big storms and survival in the cold in mind. The reverse effects and sounds naturally reminded me of time running backward. I can totally imagine an epic strategy survival game where time manipulation is the core theme. In the game, I would use both halves of each track according to the gameplay. When time is running in reverse, the music would do so too.
Time Paradox: Main theme, used in the most challenging moments.
The Journey: Beginning of the game and maybe an idle state.
Don’t Look Back: Main menu theme.
Thanks to Sandbox for this really cool challenge. Palindrome music was a new concept for me, and I had a ton of fun experimenting with it. Also, thanks to my brother, Anton. He created this awesome cover art and provided me with some feedback for this soundtrack.

My kind of vibe! Dark and menacing, especially "The Journey"!
Sounds amazing! The tracks feel full and grand, and the menu feels like a nice brief respite. I could definitely see this working as some uninviting snowscape. I really like the instrumentation used here, and it sounds really good in reverse. This was a nice listen!
Super impressive submission! The first track blew me away. A lot of Super Challenge tracks tend to be a bit droning but yours felt like a full arrangement with sections that's evolving while also fulfilling the palindrome aspect.
Great quality here. Good work.
Does have a dark sense of "ticking clock" urgency throughout, and works well both ways. Nice job!
awesome on every level. really rose to the challenge of implementing the reversed sounds in a way that genuinely enhances the composition.
Nice use of "brass of doom" really like the atmosphere and texture on this one, well done.
"Brass of doom" xD thank you
This was brilliant! every track so solidly fleshed out and big, but full sounding. Very professional sounding and I’m so impressed that you managed to put this much together in such a short time frame. Great work, I can hear this in games and movies for sure!
It makes me really happy to hear that. :D Thank you !
Amazing entry and very professional sounding! I'd be interested to know what you used for alot of the orchestral sounds. Reveresed elements sound amazing!
Thank you! I have used mostly Flex (Fl studio) presets. Layered they sound pretty neat indeed.
Very interesting roster of ideas. The palindromic nature fitted very well in all of your songs and felt pretty natural, which I can't say for most other songs that attempted this difficulty. "The Journey" was defenetly my favorite.
Nice,, thank you. really glad to hear that :)
I really liked the last track! It felt very emotional thanks to the huge reverb and reverse effects!
The first track was excellent as well! It was just a very solid piece of music!
Great job!
Thank you!
These are really great. Really intense. Only now do I actually understand what the C Super Challenge was supposed to be like. Awesome!
Thanks alot <3
I would love to hear this music to a grand theft auto style viking or pirate game where you have to pillage villages. or a ptsd viking game where every five steps the player takes switches back and forth between a scene of the village on fire and a scene of the aftermath, with npcs attack during the fire scenes and npcs attempting to mugg you in the aftermath scene, but nevertheless even outside of games this music is amazing by itself. Could listen for hours, scratch that i am listening to these tracks while writing this. Very inspiring stuff, Would love to hear more about any games you end up working on!
So happy to hear that. Made my day <3 Thank you! Sounds a bit like FarCry Primal with even more psycho stuff xDWould fit really good.
great quality, I really enjoyed the rhythm of everything
Thank you!
wow, this was a remarkably cohesive listen! i was not expecting the reversed sounds to sound as good and well-incorporated into the mix as they did, kudos to you!
Thank you! Really glad it worked
Super ominous and spooky, I can literally feel my self transported to a survival game!
Nice thank you. I really wanted to hit the feeling of unease.
Okay first off...Holy Moly the atmosphere created by your music is stellar! Through every moment I was immersed into the world that you created. Amazing work!
Thank you for the huge compliment
