Message from the artist
A simple song, made in Fl Studio 12, didn't take any inspiration, just played with notes. I took around 10 hours or less on this track, since the submission time was short, i don't work that much on quality. As i'm a beginner composer and don't have that much study on theory and little experience, i chose to participate for that and for fun.
I realy liked the ideia of this jam, a bit sad because my entry is simple, but i tried.

Difficulty

B (Hard)

Make a piece that has the same musical notes both forwards and backwards but doesn’t have to be an identical recording.

I really like this! The simplicity of the way everything comes together makes me feel like I could very easily play a game to this whilst chatting to somebody at the same time

That stick figure is slaying that mirror pose!

I liked the main instrument you used a lot but i think the percussion felt out of place with them. Specifically the snare drum. It felt a lot louder and faker than the rest of the instruments causing it to stand out to me.

I really liked the ambient noises like the birds and water a lot!

I felt that the perc wasn't fitting well the song, but at the time i had no ideia how to solve it. But thanks for the feedback.

Hmmm, I think the kick fits well but the snare and hat had a lot of high-frequency information that the piano doesn't have. I'd consider putting a low pass filter on them but if that doesn't sound good, try a vinyl VST like Izotope Vinyl or a tape one like CHOWTapeModel to tame the high end.   All of the percussions were significantly louder than melodic instruments, so perhaps you could lower them down and use sidechain compression for them to still cut through?

That was long haha sorry I just wanted to spitball some potential solutions that came to mind!

I'll try out, thanks for the tips.

Very nice choice of percussions! They really give a particular touch to the track.

Really simple, calm, clean, and well composed. Nice job.

You say you don't have a lot of theory knowledge but you have a really nice ear for chords! The harmony sounds like a Ghibli song, I can tell you experimented with the chords around 1.10 but other than that, the chords are amazing!

I really like this! Very lo-fi, the vibes are immaculate. You did amazing considering the time restriction and theme!
