This game is wonderful, perfect combination of physics and tower defense! It works surprisingly well on the browser despite being 3D and featuring physics.

In my opinion the biggest thing that's missing is the music, but it's fine since you made this 3D game on your own for a game jam. Well done!

Hey, I played your game on Discord server if you remember!

I really like this game. This would single-handedly be the best entry in this jam for me if it incorporated the theme better. But I understand your decision to focus on polishing the game.

The only nitpick I have is the controls as I said in the stream. It would be better if left/right arrows changed the direction and up/down arrows moved the robot forward/backward towards wherever it's facing.

I think this will be a great game if you continue to develop it after the jam!

Hey, it' me again.

You have done so much since I played the beta version on Sunday. It's amazing that this was developed by one person. I love this art style.

I think the weakest point of the game is the interpretation of the theme. I believe you could integrate "side-effect" to the gameplay, similar to LinkSider. For example, when the cake passes on a special belt tile it will create new entities on the side or remove/modify the tiles on the side.

Some background music could add a lot to the experience.

Maybe I should have abandoned my game and accept your offer to design levels for this game. I could also create music. We would have 1 great game instead of 2 good games :D

Great puzzle game! I have also tried to experiment with different interpretations of the word "side-effect" in my game, but it seems like this one has better execution :)

I played this live on Discord server but it lagged a little bit. I have GTX 1650, it plays fine normally but the screen sharing must have caused the lag.

I don't know whether it has any effect on the gameplay but I love the day/night cycle, especially with the lighting and shadows. In terms of gameplay, I think the "sleep" side-effect should take a shorter amount of time. I guess I got unlucky but I got the sleep side-effect multiple times in a sequence.

Good job!

Thanks for playing. Great to see you again :)

Thank you! I thought about making a tutorial level but it wasn't possible within the time limit. But it's not difficult to learn it by experience as you said. I made the music tense a little bit on purpose so that it fits the theme and the game better.

It's a nice mini-game. It's impressive for a Bevy beginner to put this together in a day, congratulations!

The sounds effects fit the game very nicely. However, I think the difficulty could increase more gradually.

Thank you for the detailed feedback!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks for playing!

I will update the game with sensitivity option when I have time. Thank you for constructive feedback!

It was a fun chess variant, good job! Does this chess variant have a name?

My first game against Alice was a draw, it ended up king vs. king, but the game doesn't recognize that situation as a draw. So I had to reload.

I won the second game against Alice and I could beat Carl Brok on my first try. However, he never used his "undo" special ability. The game progressed really gradually though, maybe that's why.

Also thanks for making it open-source, I will check out how the AI works sometime!

Thanks for the kind comment!

Thanks for the feedback! I have intentions to release the source code with a free license so that people can use this as a FPS template. The code is really hacky though. Let me know if you are interested.

Thank you for the review!

Thanks!

Thanks for feedback, I'm glad you liked it!

I appreciate your help but it was a deliberate stylistic choice to make the game look slightly pixelated. I used nearest filtering in FBO. However I agree that it's questionable whether this made it look better :D

First of all, thank you kindly for your elaborative feedback! The game turned out to be much harder for other people since I got better at my game while playtesting it, I will pay attention to this phenomenon next time.

I added electro vest upgrade in the last minute with the intention of making the game easier for the last fight. Overall the game needs rebalancing.

I wasn't aware of the bug that you mentioned, thanks for that. Also when you click right mouse button or R after picking up an alien, you will lose it. This was supposed to drop the alien, but I neglected implementing it in order to meet the deadline.

Thank you for your compliments!

Thank you for your comment! I didn't have many responsibilities last week so I spent lots of time, however I won't be able to allocate as much time to game development in the future.
P.S. This was your second GWJ as well, good job!

The game was supposed to have 3 levels, the last of which would contain a "twist" and explanation to the question you asked. Since I could only realize first 2 levels, the story is not complete. I will take a break from this game, but if I decide to continue, I will definitely add content to clarify that point :D

I had plans to add a settings menu with remappable controls and mouse sensitivity, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time for these since I overscoped. Thanks a lot for your constructive feedback!

Yes: necrashter#6795 on Discord.

Your game looks great! I admire your art style, it's so simple yet beautiful, perfect for jams like this. Gameplay was also fun.

It runs well in Firefox, however it started lagging after 10 rings. It might be because of my browser though.

Good job!

Congratulations for completing your first game jam! The music fits the pixel art perfectly in my opinion. I was wondering, did you make the music yourself or did you take it from somewhere else?

Good job and best of luck in your future games!

Thanks for your kind comments! I was planning to add a lower difficulty option, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time to implement it before the deadline. I didn't want to make the game too easy, but now I think that easier games are usually more suitable for game jams.

Thank you for feedback! I have just checked out your game, and honestly your game is far more original than this. If want to tell more about your experience, please don't hesitate to make a criticism, even if it's negative.

Hello, thanks a lot for the feedback, we appreciate it!

Unfortunately there are several bugs regarding the digging mechanism. We focused more on the gameplay, graphics etc. and forgot about fixing these bugs. We will try to prioritize fixing bugs next time. Also we can release a new version with bugfixes and new content if there are enough people who want it. Thanks again for your comment.

I liked the uniqueness of this game. It has a mysterious atmosphere, which is amplified by the music and gameplay. As others said, it fits the theme perfectly.

When you first open the game, you see the store screen with 0 gold in wallet. Instead of giving a torch to the player at start, it might be better to give 200 gold and let player buy a torch, in my opinion. Unfortunately the game doesn't have any tutorial, but the mechanics of the game are very simple to understand. I selected the medium dungeon in my first round, however I would recommend starting with the easy dungeon. The game is challenging. I don't think this is a bad thing necessarily, it's just uninviting for new players. I didn't notice the counter for a while in my first game. Each round takes about a minute. I think this is short, it would be great as a mobile game though.

The graphics remind me of the old strategy games. Assets look harmonious with each other and immerse you into the game world. Gold chest looks too foreshortened in an isometric world, but the rest of the elements on the map are drawn perfectly. Gold shining effect is a nice touch. I don't like nitpicking but as a constructive criticism, sometimes the player overlaps the south-west wall. If I recall correctly, you need to change the Tile Origin setting in the TileMap object.

Music fits the theme and the game perfectly, and contributes to the feel of the game. However, I would appreciate more in-game sound effects. There is a basic sound effect that plays as you hover the buttons, and even that adds to the experience.

Controls are decent, you can play the game with mouse only. It would be better if you could use keyboard to move. Considering the time limitation of the rounds, I think it would help players and make the game more enjoyable.

Overall this is a great game especially for a game jam. I tried to provide constructive feedback and I hope you find my review useful. Lastly, there is a key in the store and I haven't figured out what it does. This is a great idea as it adds more mystery to the game. Maybe I will try to find out when I have time.
