A really well done short VN! The art was good and the extra polish with the ending and post-completion content was a nice touch. Like others have said I wish Jessica had a bit more of a role to play in the long run but the way the characters were used here was really good given the playtime.

Thanks for playing! Easy mode is definitely more relaxing that Hard lol.

Ah okay that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying :)

Thanks for checking the game out, as well as posting the initial idea and design page! The customization on the chicks as well as the overall pretty chill atmosphere the game has are my two favorite things about it. Glad you liked how it came out too :) .

I added a dozen or so messages there parodying how games like Minecraft and Terraria do it so I figured it'd be a hit with a couple people :) .

I agree the game over section does take a bit too long and had no way to skip to the main menu ( also there's no way to go back to the main menu or pause while in a session ). Those were things on my todo list but didn't get around to them. Hopefully in the next jam I can get those quality of life changes into that game entry.

Thanks for playing!

Glad you liked it! May your floating chick army grow even larger!

Love the puzzles in this! The graphics and music are nice too!

Great job! Very fun puzzle game with a nice usage of the temperature theme. Parroting what others have said, you should definitely add more levels to it as this was fun. Last level had the difficulty ramp up a bit more than the others ( partly due to the sliding physics nearing the end ) but it was also the most rewarding level to play. Loved the little jig the character does on the win screen.

Fantastic job! There's a lot of content in this game given the timeframe the jam took place. Lots of levels with nice puzzles. I really like how you used the temperature and used that mechanic creatively to get each level's puzzle to stand out. I also liked the lava lamp effect in the main menu's background.

Only nit-pick I can think of is the jumping off walls is pretty finicky. I ended up switching temperatures inside vertical blocks to hoist me up higher since it forces the player character upward, and that's how I managed to clear some of the levels that relied on the wall jump mechanic. Otherwise stellar job with all of this! Probably the easiest 5-star game I've seen so far.

I like where you're going with this. Having the ball change temperature to get past certain gates/doors is a good way to dangle the exit in the player's face but have them go around the level figuring out how to end up in front of that exit with the right temperature. Lot of potential for a puzzle game with this! The ball controls felt good too.

Like you mentioned in an earlier post this is just a demo. There's a lot you can do with this and I'd say keep working on it if it still interests you after the jam.

This was quite an enjoyable railed runner game! It was had great obstacle design and the trippy, wavy road was cool to look at. Awesome work! I didn't see anything related to temperature so it doesn't fit the jam's theme but I like it none the less. ( Only mentioned the last part since you said "Yes" to it following it. )

Nice job with this! You clearly put a lot of effort into this. I wasn't able to get far since I couldn't figure out what the temperatures were for each recipe and the cursor would vanish on occasion when trying to cook. It was still fun to play with and you definitely adhered to the jam's theme.

Thanks for playing! I liked making them have accessories, honestly wished I had time to add more like pirate hats and such.

The monster is definitely fast like pielloy mentioned but aside from my first run where he got me at the start it was really easy to avoid him. He doesn't patrol around the whole map and sticks to the same spots from what I could tell. Other than that the game was really short at ~2 minutes. Having that other character running around and them eventually getting eaten and that yell was a nice touch.

Congrats on the release!

Thanks I think I got it resubmitted with that link.

Did something similar but it was me removing the .zip file containing the game after submissions closed. Can't undo it either lol. I think we're out of luck given it'd be impossible to tell if after-deadline changes were made to the files you upload aside from fixing the load problems, and it'd be unfair for those who got it working and uploaded beforehand.

I say go ahead and fix the loading problems and when the jam votes are over you can upload the corrected version. Not sure what tag the jam is meant to have but if there's a tag everyone's using for their entries you should add it to your project's page under "Tag" so it helps associate the game being a part of this event.

Thanks! I completely agree it's too easy and without much thought you can keep all the eggs from being ruined. The plan is to have the eggs have more thought put into hatching them with different kinds spawning, and some minor obstacles to consider too. Harder modes will have more eggs to manage instead of just the three.

Thanks for playing!

Saw your post a couple days ago and made an entry for the jam using it. https://ninjaboi8175.itch.io/incuboratory . Still working on it before the deadline. Seeing as how someone else has already made one based off it shows it was a popular idea. Thanks for sharing it! :)

Cool idea to have the spell effects be based on the weather!

Yeah that's almost exact and with the right sound setup it'd be even better.

Some of the menus/text weren't aligned properly, but it was still playable and from what I read the WebGL version was just for testing purposes? Anyways, the game was fun and it was well designed to keep the player focuses and not be able to just walk away once they got goblins to do the work for them. I will say that the War/traveling functionality took a bit to understand. Only a few minutes, but maybe more direction for the player to understand what that's all about would be helpful.

Great job with this! As more content is added I'm sure this will be a great game on the marketplace.
