The atmosphere is great, I also love the storytelling, the movement is responsive and feels good. The game is also tough as hell, or I'm just really bad, but it got to the point of frustration where I no longer enjoyed myself. Not a knonk against it, but I feel like it went a little overboard. Nice job!
I know hat everyone said it but the movement is super satisfying. Love it
This game is fantastic! I really enjoy the top-down vertical movement, and I'm pleasantly surprised by the fact that the character is controlled solely using the mouse. The immersive atmosphere is created by the great assets and sound design. However, I encountered an issue at the point where the phrase "Do I... still need light" appears on the screen. I couldn't figure out how to progress past that point. I attempted to move forward, but all I could see was a black screen. Additionally, I believe it would be beneficial to have a pause menu with a "Quit Game" button; I had to use ALT + F4 to exit the game. Other than that, great work!
You have to keep moving straight down even the text show up.
I loved how atmospheric it was. I also enjoyed how the movement felt, it was smooth and snappy when dashing. Great work!
this was really challenging but a lot of fun! i managed to beat the boss! :) i love how quick it was to restart, and i really love how simple but effective the mechanics are. my only gripe is during the part where the red cubes were first introduced, didnt know what to do until i went to look at the uploaded screenshots
This game is so challenging,especially , the sounds and vision effect is excllent , the gameplay design is also awsome , keep it up ! I`m so hard to imagination that is made in 10 days!
This is some challenging game, haha. Very fun to play, but it did lag my laptop quite bad, maybe because my laptop is damn potato though lol. Anyway, from what i was able to play before my laptop lagged, was that it was pretty challenging (in a good way), had nice graphics, sound design was good, and it was nicely polished. I REALLY wanted to continue playing, but I guess my laptop is out of that league lol 😅
So for actual criticism, I have very few. But I would've appreciated some kind of keyboard control, since my mouse is kinda bad- and also a way to lower down the graphics 😅 That aside, it's not your fault my laptop can't handle streaming. Good work! Keep it up.
Now THIS was a tough game! I spent a good chunk of time on my stream determined to beat it. The pacing, level design, and such were great and yet the game has such a simple concept. Music and sfx set the right mood too!
When's Level 2 coming out?! >=P
It's a cool game. I really liked.
This is a very good game and it deserved more focus !!!
Smooth gameplay. Nice graphics and sound effect. A fantastic game indeed.
Cool game, a bit more instructions would be nice in beginning,
but great theme, atmosphere and sound effective, really immersive.
If the insturction that is missing is a feature instead of bug then it would makes sense that I am doubting myself searching for light.
nice game, the boss is insane
dude great game! i love the work with lights! also great sound work!
Absolutely impressive game, visually pleasing and has a great ambience, great work!
def first place contender
Ahh, my thalassophobia!
Hard to imagine this was made in only 10 days. The game is so immersive, all of the effects (shaders, parallaxing, 3d panning) add to the feeling that you are in the deep sea. The floaty mechanics fit well into the game, especially because of how the dash works (completely cancelling momentum and pushing you where you want to go), The different obstacles are introduced well and were a good challenge (my only complaint is it was unclear at first what you were supposed to do at the wall of angler fish). Sound design is also very well done, just enough to give feedback but low key enough to let the player feel immersed in the desolate environment. Boss fight was a bit on the hard side, this might just be me, but maybe 2 or 3 health per attempt would make it more doable while not entirely taking away the difficulty. I like how the boss's core mechanic was introduced earlier in the game so it was already familiar, pretty good decision. Using the lights to dash back and forth to each of the boss's mouths was very satisfying, felt like you were comboing the boss. Overall very well done!
Absolutely amazing visuals and atmosphere! The environment were so cool and immersive.
Really cool and atmospheric, focuses on the horrors of the sea, loved it!
