If you're new to Discord you can access the workshop's video/voice call from "workshop-live" in the channel list. See the .gif below!

Please download the project files and assets below. The beginning of the workshop (9:00am-10:00am) is reserved for getting these files installed and running in case you need any assistance or encounter any problems.

There was a small change to text in the introduction scene. The latest build has an updated readme with details like this, in case you're ever curious about update notes.

The SFX of the extinguisher are amazing.

Awesome, glad to hear it!

Flash saves files seem to be tied to clearing your browser cache, but if this isn't the case you may just need to allow the game to store data on your machine. Right click the game screen and select "global settings". There should be an option there that allows you to store data "from this site". If you can, let me know if this resolves the issue!

I have added an alternative .zip for the game!

Update 2.7 should completely resolve this. FYI for anyone who comes across this!

Hi! Sorry to hear that you’re encountering this issue. The game should be automatically saving any time you switch areas. Your experience doesn’t appear to be unique so I’m looking into why this isn’t working. The game saves to an obscure directory but shouldn’t disappear like that at all.

What version of the game are you playing and for what platform?

You have to pull out your phone (CTRL) and run through that convo first. :)

Hi! This is an incredibly thorough breakdown of your experience with Flux. Thank you for the feedback!

I'll sit down tonight and fix the typos you caught and add additional sfx. There should actually be a walking sfx but it may be muffled or broken for whatever reason. Either way, I'll give it a look. I have a few ambient bits to add for sure.

Difficulty-wise, Flux was always meant to be a very chill, no-challenge experience. I could spend years building each minigame into a full-fledged experience complete with challenges and bosses and so on, but that simply wasn't the goal. I get it, though! I'm happy to see people find something in these little snippets and wanting more.

Thanks Calliope! Glad everything was sorted out. I'll make a note to use .zip next time. The install includes music files and a readme along with the executable. :)

Let me know what you think or if you run into any issues. I'd love to hear feedback.

Hi! If possible, I'd be honored for Flux to be included in this. Thank you so much for putting all of this together either way. https://nujakujata.itch.io/flux

Hi! Thanks so much! I've already published the game to steam independently, actually: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1070990/Flux/

Saw Jess' tweet and ended up here! Played this for a bit and figured I'd comment with some thoughts:

- I loaded in and wasn't looking at the door to go into the pool area
- If I'm supposed to hunt for the entryway it may be best to define the explorable area outside of the fenced-in pool space a bit and make it implicitly "there" and ready to be explored
- While I cannot fall off the edge into the void, invisible walls aren't doing the experience justice. I'd rather see white box walls and faux white box buildings in the inaccessible distance around me than the ability to see the void and skybox (even in a proof of concept, staging is a big deal)
- I tried uncovering the pool, couldn't, found a thing that made noise and allowed me to uncover the pool further
- I hooked up hoses and connected a little vacuum robot to it that automatically floated off and cleaned the pool
- The water went clear and the gross water went into the kiddie pool, nice
- couldn't interact with anything else, not sure if done or

it was ok

Makes sense! Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you!

I plan on going through all the current copy to makes some edits and revisions. I agree that things can get a bit dark, but I want to strike a nice balance between light and dark discussion between the two. Some of the conversations right now scratch the surface of a broader conversation that could be had between the two so once I flesh that out a bit more the context might help keep a nice balance. :D

Thanks!

The subtle nuances of this game's narrative is a commentary on the current state of Ohio's economic crisis.

In the thread would've been cool but I don't mind!

Very cool of you to do this, man, thanks! Hopefully people will use it!
