I'm very hyped for everybody to play it!

Hey everybody,

I have just announced a new game I'm working on, Silent Rooms. Please check it out!

Silent Rooms is a PSX horror game that takes inspiration from Silent Hill 1 and the Backrooms creepypasta.

Whilst searching for his lost daughter,  Harold Williams falls into the Backrooms. He must find her and escape, but he is not alone. Horrors wait for him in the dark.

Free to play soon:

Hey everybody, I've just released a devlog for my game CURFEW.  I go into more detail on that why I could get censored on that devlog, so please give it a read.

Basically, I'm worried the topic of the game is a bit risky and could possibly receive censorship, specifically with YouTube.  This could be a death sentence when getting streamers to play your game is a massive way of getting seen by a wider audience.  Does anybody know what itch's stance on these topics is and would the game likely be censored here? Am I just worrying unnecessarily?

Let me know your thoughts.

Here is a short teaser and some screenshots of the game so far.

Hey everybody! I thought I'd start off 2021 strong and design, develop and release a new game within three days, starting on New Years Day.

Here is the result:

'Use your splatter ability to uncover the world around you and use your swing ability to explore it!'

Happy New Year, hope you all enjoy!

Hey, thanks for the comment. If I continue to work on this in the future, I will definitely revamp the remapping/UI system. Glad you enjoyed it!

I enjoyed it :) A cool idea that was decently executed. Didn't find any bugs etc. I think what would also be cool is if you randomly got buffs and wells as debuffs. It would be cool if some times your fire rate increased or you got a health boost etc. Good job!

Fun, addictive and challenging! Really well done!

Very simple concept, but executed really well. I think with some additional polish and audio work this game could make a really fun mobile game. Really well done!

A really fun game with interesting and challenging puzzles. The visuals are some of the best I've seen in the jam and think this game has a lot of potential to be a hit, especially on mobile devices. Great effort, deserves way more ratings than it currently has.

Cool concept and captures the feeling working in a dead end office job haha. Good job!

Had a lot of fun playing this. Loved how you could lose control of a few zombies when they go near a human and then you could split your army in to two and hunt down more then regroup! Great idea and lots of fun.

I really liked the concept and it was great fun to play. I think with some more development time and some more polish this could be a really great game. Good job.

Very impressed. A very solid and well presented game all done in 48 hours! Kudos. I found really enjoyable to play and replayable. Good job.

What an adorable concept and character. I love it. Fun to play and a great concept.

I love the concept, a lot of content in here for 48 hours as well. Good job and lots of potential.

Really cool idea with a lot of potential. The art was nice and I look forward to playing more in the future :)

Great job, cool concept and executed well.

I would love to see the game developed further after the jam has ended. The visuals are nice, the audio is great, and the concept is fantastic. Great job!

Simple game, but original and fun.  A really nice use of the theme too :)

I liked this, I would definitely come back after the jam to finish it when all the bugs have been ironed out :) Good job!

Cool idea, I like that the movement is distinct from the attack phase. Could be even cooler with unlockable skills /  weapons between each round. Good job.

This was great, I wish there was more levels! Please continue this after the jam.

Accidentally killed everybody on the planet... Would play again!

Simple game with a surprising amount of replay value. I would be interested to see how far you could push this concept with better art and audio. Good job.

I liked how the canon worked, was quite interesting and I've not seen anything like that before. Good job!

This is such a great concept and the execution is brilliant. The art, design and audio all work together to make a solid platformer. All done in 48 hours! Good job.

The concept is great and the art style works perfectly. With some lovely music and maybe a story. This would make a great game for tablet.

This is quite a relaxing game to play. I really liked the concept and the idea you can eject your seeds was very well executed! I think if you worked on this further and got some nice music/audio and art in there it could be a great game. Good job!

Really enjoyed it, I felt like it fit the theme in that the faster you go the less control you had over the player. The visuals and audio all worked well towards the theme and the overall concept was good and well executed. Good job!

A fun game with fantastic art, well done! The player controls feel very tight and responsive too. Good job!

That was my original design, but it introduced a bunch of bugs in to the game, so I took it out so I could submit it on time haha. If I work on this again I'd overhaul the key mapping system. Glad you enjoyed :)

The art worked really well for this sort of game as did the audio. The concept was great and executed well. The feedback I have has been mentioned and you seem to be aware of the bugs. So I look forward to playing a more polished version of this. Good job :)

Hey the concept is good and the execution was done well too :) I think if you could see what direction the player was going to change to next (sort of like in Tetris you can see the upcoming block) it would give you some time to plan your text movement. Enjoyed it :) Thanks!

I look forward to it :) I've followed you on Itch to see what you come up with in the future.

Visually a great game the fire looks dangerous and creates a great sense of danger and the 8 bit art is nice too. The player controls handle great and feel tight and responsive. The level design is good, though obviously designed to be a difficult game.

I got stuck at level 5 and the difficulty of the game usually meant I arrived at level 5 with 1-2 lives left, which didn't give me enough goes to experiment and proceed. I don't know if a checkpoint system is needed. Maybe just have health pickups in hard to reach places that challenge the player further and also start with more lives?

Anyway, it was a fun game with good visuals. Good job!

A good concept and with good level design. Like other people have said the physics hold it back a little bit, but for a 48 hour gamejam, it's to be expected. I think it's worth working on after the game-jam. With some more work and polish it would be a decently fun game :)

I'd love to check it out, thanks

Really appreciate the comment. I will get round to fixing those issues :) Thanks for the kind words!
