I have to agree with you. I think it's quite fun to explore a new control scheme in a new game (in most games, I probably skip those). But, from watching my friends play it (sadly after I submitted it), I saw that many of them didn't realize they could dash with the space bar. So, I think I should replace the "How to Play" section (I got some feedback that it's too cluttered and hard to read with the background) with a small room that allows you to explore the game mechanics and displays the controls. It will be optional for those who want or need it.

Great to hear that! I'll play it again. Hopefully, I'll be better this time since I don't have any excuses anymore 😄

Thank you so much! You really made my day 😄. I really enjoyed it and look forward to continuing to make games!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!!

Nice game, reminded me of old-school zombie games.

Very fun game!! The boss was quite hard, and I enjoyed that!

Nice game! 5th place on the leaderboard!

Great game, short and sweet!

I don't think I've seen this concept done before!

I really liked this one. I enjoyed the movement mechanic and found it pretty fun. Sadly, I'm not good enough to join the legion 😓.

Really good game! I really like the atmosphere and I was very invested in it. My only suggestion is to give a few days to repay the money or set a threshold for how much you can be in the negative at the bank. I lost because I bought too many defenses and ended up with -4 gold. Other than that, I really liked it. The atmosphere is great and really makes you feel like your life depends on every choice you make.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it!! Getting 20th place is honorable and not an easy feat, especially since you actually went for the kills. It took me quite a long time to get below 20. If I had more time, I would have added more skins for the roach so you'd actually get something for being so close to winning! 😄

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it!! 😁

Great game! It took me some time to get the controls, but once I did, it was really fun. Keep up the great work!

Nice game! Kinda annoying that I have to reload the page in order to try again, but overall, the game is fun. The music is really good, and the game runs really well. I can see myself getting addicted 😄.

Wow, this is a difficult game! I really love the concept, the art, and the music - amazing! But you should enable fullscreen on your itch.io edit project page. The game is really tiny on my screen, so it's hard to play. But great game regardless!

Thank you for playing! I hope you enjoyed it. This is how I imagine moving as a roach would feel like. I don't know why, but from the second I thought about the idea for the game, I always knew I wanted it to feel like that. Maybe I should have added a little tutorial or a safe place to get used to the controls. Sadly, I didn't think about it until now.

At first, I was confused about what I needed to do, but I'm happy I spent time exploring the game and figuring it out because I really enjoyed it. I put music on Spotify and just sank in. The UI is confusing at first, and it took some time to understand how to play, but I found myself playing for hour without noticing. I only stopped when I "finished" the game and unlocked peace. Keep up the great work! I think the weakest part of the game is the UI, but with some adjustments and maybe a tutorial, this would be a great tycoon that I see myself coming back to!!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I only added sound effects for a few things because I didn't want to overwhelm the player with too much noise, given there are 99 roaches. I also had a hard time balancing the sound effects with the background music because the game gets really chaotic. Maybe I should have made the sound effects a little bit louder to make them more noticeable with the background music.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm thankful for the feedback. I myself have a hard time as a roach 😂. I tried to reduce the distraction from the roaches in the background by putting a dark overlay on top of them, but apparently, it didn't do enough. I added them so the background wouldn't feel static, but I may have to exterminate some and maybe make the remaining ones bigger to make them less distracting.

I actually am familiar with turn-based tactics games. I think I played so many 2D games that day that I didn't even think to use the WASD keys. My thought at that moment was that what I saw was what I had. I didn't realize there was camera control 😂. Don't worry though, I really enjoyed the game itself and realized it was probably my mistake for not reading the game page first. So, I didn't take that into account while rating your game. Auto-center would be great!

Great to hear that! Let me know when it's fixed so I can try it again!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

No, I did play it, but it was the first jump scare to get me in years 🤣🤣

I really like the aesthetic of the characters, and the player movement feels really good and snappy. However, I keep getting stuck after the checkpoint. If you die to the little ninjas after pushing the statue, the land with the checkpoint and the adjacent floating boulders will unload, keeping me in a death loop.

Beautiful artwork!!

The yawn jumpscare got me 😓

Fun game! At first, I thought not being able to sell towers would be annoying, but to my surprise, it actually added to the strategy. You really need to think before placing them. Also, I really like the graphics; the game looks so clean and the map is beautiful!

A bit short, but a fun game! A nice twist on bowling. I love the aesthetic, and the music is really fun!

Great tower defense game! I really enjoyed it. I loved the card mechanic, it makes it unique from other tower defense games, I've never seen anyone do that. The graphics are fantastic, and the particles are fun. The fact that you managed to add a map builder in such a short time is mind-blowing, even as a team! Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed my game. You really made my day! 😄

Aw, thanks for the clarification. I am color blind, so I cannot see the pink tiles. Colorblind mode would be amazing, but note that the rules of the jam prevent us from adding any new features and only allow us to fix game breaking bugs. I wouldn't want you to get disqualified because of me, but I would be happy to play it again after the game jam ends!! 😄

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you're enjoying my game! Poor castle owner, his castle is so infested that I can understand why he uses so much bug spray 😄

Thank you so much! 13th place is amazing, and with a high score as well! It took me a lot of tries to beat it. The game gets really chaotic really fast. My strategy is to only attack when necessary since it's really risky. Usually, I wait until I find a force field, then try to kill as many zombies and cockroach as possible. Also, I stick close to a wall, but not too close, to avoid getting trapped by the cockroachs.

Fun game overall, but you should move the camera to the center of the battle field or make the camera follow the mouse. I hate to admit it, but it took me some time to understand how to move it 😓

I love the look and feel of the game. I was never good at that type of games, but it was fun anyway 😊

One of the best games I've played in this jam. I really liked the movement mechanic; it's unique and fun to control!!

Thank you!!

Love the idea! I didn't manage to figure out the smiley one though. I suggest you add a timer to make it more stressful or make it so you can't go over places you already drawn on to turn it into a puzzle game.

Yep, that definitely fixed it for me! The sensitivity is still a bit low, but at least my mouse doesn't run off the screen anymore. I'll be sure to update the rating I gave you. By the way, I really like the idea of combining tower defense with FPS gameplay. It would be amazing to see a polish version of the game!
