This was really fun! I love the way Stanley wiggles when he rolls on the ball. Great design and the music choices are excellent. I also had trouble on level 3 where I would get to the end right before the particles but trip on something I couldn't see. Still really enjoyed it though! :D
Baron! Thanks for checking out the game.
Difficult to master but very fun and rewarding to do so! Really liked the idea, sometimes going through the ramp on the right in level 3 made me fall for some reason, even when I got through. I loved the music and presentation in general, congrats!
Glad you played! Still got to work on that ground detection. Thanks!
this pained me because of my lack of balancing skills, but thats a skill issue and not a game issue haha. good job on the game submission!
Grateful you played! Thank you.
Fun and quirky, love the challenging gameplay that also feels simple enough to make you want to keep coming back for one more try. Also, fun to watch the bear's but wiggle lol. The controls felt a little counterintuitive to me, I think I would have preferred that you only move/accelerate when a button is pressed, rather than stepping up a throttle that then has to be stepped down. Seemed like there was a weird lag in the camera follow, especially when turning without forward motion, that was kinda disorienting. Cute, simple game and a creative take on the theme!
Thanks! I'm working on better understanding Cinemachine. It does make for some odd sweeps of the camera sometimes.
Is Stanley a cousin or Colin's bear? They have striking resemblance... really fun game well done.
Thanks for playing. Wow! I did not know my meme on that one. The hip gyration makes me think they really are related.
Stanley can really shake those hips! It was difficult at times, but not too hard. Some of the ramps it was tough to see where you were going. I had fun and would play more levels. GG!
Thanks! I got another jam I've been sucked into, and I really do want to makes some more levels for Stanley and some more obstacles, too.
I cant open the game :(
That stinks. Were you trying on the browser or the Windows .exe?
Good premise, probably needs just a little balancing (no pun) in terms of speed of response of the bear and or forgiveness of the levels. Well done!
Thank you! For sure could use some tweaking.
Type of game that make you feel angry !!! anyways in level 3 I dont why I am die out 2/3 m in front of the checkpoint. I followed the road but still kill me from no reason
Thanks. I do need to better hone the ground detection system. Thanks for playing!
It was fun
Thanks, Taco!
Haha I don't have the patience for these games, but it was enjoyable!
Thanks for checking it out, Thracco!
Very great idea at level 3 the platform was a bit buggy but playable I really like the mechanics it was pretty responsive spent a good amount of time on this! Hope you'll make such more bangers. (image is of level 2)
Huh. That's Stanley dancing yet hovering over the chasm? That's an odd one and buggy for sure...
The yawn jumpscare got me 😓
Oh no! Did you slam the laptop shut after that... you missed the best part! 😢That's like the start of every game I make!
No, I did play it, but it was the first jump scare to get me in years 🤣🤣
Your game made me think of this the second I started playing. Great submission.
Eggcelerate! on Steam (steampowered.com)
Ha - same composer for the ad's music as for much of this project's.
Thanks for playing.
Just a heads up. The stream got flagged for copyright music. Monkey is in the title. Just the one song. If you watch the stream you'll see they muted that section where the song plays. Maybe just verify that one's rights but it could be the song is cool but twitch hasn't been updated. Just make sure though. You never know.
Thanks. My kid said the song brought back memories of his childhood (he's only 12) -- because it's in so many things since it's CCBY4 Kevin MacLeod -- composer to the internet. What would Twitch, YouTube, and GooglePlay have if there was no Keven MacLeod? Thanks for double checking!
I didn't think I'd be playing as a bear balancing on a ball today, but here we are!
This is difficult but, for the most part, in a very 'fair' way. Most of the time I understood where I went wrong and how I should better approach things. The one real exception is a section with a raising platform which also has a barrel trap above it. I don't know how to judge the timing on that, since it's mostly dependent on the platform's movement, and there barrels don't have any sort of lead-up before they come at you.
There's a nice progression of difficulty overall, but I somehow managed to complete the final level on my first attempt. Probably all that training from the one right before it with the platform/barrel combo! The camera can get a little bit wonky when you turn and the inclines are a challenge to navigate since most of their path isn't visible before you start down them.
The controls are... I think the best way to put it is that it controls like you're a bear balancing on a ball, so for this game they're near perfect! Bumping into a wall or tree was, perhaps, a bit trickier to recover from than I'd have liked, but I'm already asking a lot from Stanley as it is.
And, most importantly, I really like the victory dance!
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback Satinel. Agreed the barrel spawner needs to be moved a smidge away from the elevator lift (maybe something to consider for later stages.) You went right instead of left on that last level... good choice.
Funny and very nice music.
Glad you got a chance to play. Thanks!
This is my favorite take on the theme so far. I love the whimsical tone of the game, gives me glover or monkey ball vibes. That butt jiggle!
Ha! Thanks for playing!
Cool game!
Sadly I'm not as patient to play games like this.
I love how funny it looks though. Would be nice to see people play instead of playing myself :D
Thanks for checking it out. Metalstorm was kind enough to play and post the video... Look below 👇
Well I watched him before I came here to try it myself :D
I love choice for the theme! The Last Stan a.k.a. the Stanley (Para)ball. love the gameplay, but boy is it unforgiving. I swear there is an invisible assassin in front of the 3rd level goal! also, the animation of the bear is adorable
Thank you for that. And double points for the "Stanley (para)ball!" Yeah. The ground detector is sometimes a wee unforgiving... unless that rabbit got you on level 3.
Loved the idea. Just thought it got too difficult too fast. I could bearly get to level 3.
Thanks. Good to know there might be a level to work in there before 3.
