Yeah, I normally like the entire last day for polish but we had so much trouble getting Billie to move along a path that we ended up having a little less time than usual!! I'm hoping to add a quality of life update soon, especially now that the jam is over.
Thanks for playing, glad you had fun with it!! :]
Really glad to hear this, I was hoping to put it in a setting you normally don't see kaiju stories play out!
I'm planning a 'quality of life' kind of update to fix some things from feedback we've gotten and I'll definitely be adding sound effects to make the gameplay more satisfying!
Glad to hear you had a fun time with it, thanks for playing!! :D
Really wanted to pay tribute to New Orleans and it's almost mystical vibes. I like making MIDI covers for jams and it was kind of a hard choice to choose the music, just so many choices! But House of the Rising Sun is just such a great song with such a strange past (no one knows who composed it!), so it felt like the best choice, glad to hear it recognized, I was a little worried people wouldn't know the song!!
Also Born on the Bayou has been stuck in my head all during development lol!
Thank you for playing!!
Makes me really happy to hear you enjoyed it, especially that it hits those retro gaming vibes!
I actually need to check those titles out I hadn't heard of them before :]
I'd love to come back to it and add more levels where it's a little harder to find Billie or even other strange monsters, maybe more maps!
Thanks for playing!!
I love the amount of worldbuilding, it just sucks you right in. The sense of impending doom is really well done. I loved being able to put my name in and even name the team! I also learned that maybe I should trust my advisors, if I'm ever a commander because the first ending I got was the news ending....
I unfortunately can't play this one but reading through the rulebook it's such a fun concept, it'd be fun to do this with like a pen-pal. I like that the kaiju can only draw out their feelings.
I love that dice rolls can effect the story too. The way the art/words are laid out are nice and neat to read through too.
