Super colorful and the design of the world was amazing, great little details here and there really added to the experience, great stuff!

Very cool for such a long time, it was fun to run around the toy city!

Nicely buttoned up entry- lots of finesse everywhere from the ui and menus to the gameplay and design. The characters were cute and the behavior and animations for KyJun were pretty awesome and terrifying while still being adorable. The verticality was really nice to experience too, the quick respawn was a great feature for some fast playing and keeping the momentum going. Excellent work!

Developer

Thank-you so so much, I am so glad you enjoyed it, and I'm really glad the quick respawn worked out well too as I actually added it really last minute.

Many thanks for checking it out.

Really cool experience, I always loved the toy commander vibe :D

Experience and atmosphere wise, it is interesting to climb vertically, because you see the scene from a lot of different angles,

Gameplay wise tough, precision plaforming can be frustrating when you come back from the ground.

Why not go for some kind of very slow and floating 'jumping flash' jump? I think it would tie in nicely.

Developer

Many many thanks, always great to hear about another toy commander appreciator too :D.

I definitely get you, a  more forgiving floaty jump, or even gliding would ease the frustration. I would still like it to feel like a frantic escape as well though so I would have to experiment a bit.

Thanks so so much for checking it out. I am really glad you enjoyed it.

I love the toy designs, they're so cute! The sound effects and music are really solid and I like how you used the Only Way is Up theme!

Well I managed to reach the top in 4:17!

This was really neat, the premise funny and original, and the platforming mostly felt good but with a few issues I noticed that I found frustrating.

For starters, the cursor isn't locked to the game window. This is an especially annoying issue for me because I accidentally clicked outside of the window a couple times and then got blasted off the platforms. And frankly it's just distracting having the cursor going back and forth across the screen.

Also it seems like the drop shadow doesn't always follow the player, which made jumping on the thinner platforms more difficult as I couldn't easily tell if I was going to land on them. I don't know how you have your setup but when I had a shadow for platforming in one of my games I just used a projector attached to the bottom of the player. That way it always follows the player, and you don't have a full shadow floating in mid-air. Just a suggestion as something to experiment with post-jam.

Besides that though, it was really cool seeing all the different platforming mechancis you managed to implement! Double-jumping, grinding on the straws, ledge-grabbing, wall-jumping, sliding, and bouncy platforms. That is quite the list!

I also loved the background detail of being able to see out the window, and having one of those old car city rugs on the floor.

Overall was a great little platformer, good work!

Thankyou so so much for checking it out and for your great feedback too.

You know I am so mad at myself about that cursor lock because it has come up  for my last few games and I always say I will not forget to sort that out next time. From now on I'll have to make sure I sort it out straight away.

Ah, many thanks I'll definitely look into sorting out the shadow too.  The projector methods definitely sounds like a good way of doing it.

I will admit I did use a controller I had used in other projects that had some systems set up to save time. I think I definitely wouldn't have got everything done in time without it.

Ultimately I am extremely glad you had some fun with it.

Thanks so so much again.
