I think this is my favorite game in the jam—hats off to everyone on the team, you guys did so good! I'm so impressed by how polished the game is. The movement mechanics feel a bit sensitive, but I'd be really excited to see any future updates or extensions to this project! Also, I had some trouble with the time-traveling feature (RMB) on my Mac. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but it just doesn't seem to work for me.

I had a lot of fun playing this game! I really enjoyed the low-poly art and how cohesive the game's atmosphere felt. That said, I want to echo another commenter's sentiment that it's a shame you incorporated AI art, as it detracts from the hard work and authenticity of your team's efforts. Plus, using promo images with a completely different art style misrepresents your game and feels off.
I did encounter a bug during my playthrough where my ship started rapidly ascending and spinning away into the air, allowing me to fly above the map. While I got a good laugh out of it, I'm guessing that wasn't supposed to happen and might disrupt the gaming experience for others. On the bright side, the boat steering mechanic is really fun. It's a bit tricky to control, but that adds to the whimsical, playful vibe and mimics the rocking of the sea perfectly.
Overall, great job! Just a suggestion: it would be awesome if you stuck with real artists for the illustrations. It keeps everything genuine and adds to the game's charm. Keep up the good work!
I ran into the same glitch others mentioned, where emissions hit 100% despite any of my actions. So, I don’t think I got the full experience. That said, your tutorial was fantastic and really helpful. The game felt super polished, clean, and well-thought-out—so really impressive you guys pulled through during the time crunch! I loved the sound effects; I think they kept me engaged in the absence of narrative elements. As someone who's really into urban planning, I appreciated the theme and had fun with the map.
For improvements, it’d be awesome to see more features showing how the changes positively impact the city and its people. Maybe you could add a mailbox or newsletter mechanic where players can see public reactions to their changes. It would make the town feel more alive and less like a lab simulation. Overall, great job!
I thought this game was super cute & enjoyed playing it! Congrats on finishing this project. The sfx was probably my favorite part like the cars honking when getting impatient was a nice touch. One note I have is that I was a bit confused when playing how to water the flowers because the imagery you have in the shop contrasts with the watering spout on the ground & it wasn't super intuitive for me to identify what that even was on the map. I think you could update the shop menu to just use the same object & like put a little water droplet alongside perhaps?
The game is really charming & I think the way you guys approached gamifying this theme was quite unique & memorable! Some comments I have are I think you guys should enlarge the scoreboard at the bottom, it's very small & the placement is at the very edge of the screen, at some points the counter also oddly would go under the text & I wouldn't be able to read the # of hairs collected. I think it would also be a nice addition to just add a little shaver prop to our player to hold as they are running around & shaving people's hair!
oh my gosh this game is looking absolutely adorable!! I already really love the art style and color palette you have going on, there's a good sense of atmosphere & the music matches well. I think you guys are doing a great job of giving context & incorporating thought-out research relating to climate change in your game! I'm excited to play the final product
I thought your concept was pretty creative & I found the game quite charming & cute! I think you guys should assess going forward how you can reflect more of the research & meaning within the gameplay because I was also very confused as to why I was just going around shaving heads before reading your Game Documents. I think you guys could also push the art style & vary your npcs so the character designs are more memorable.
**BUG preface** Hey everyone! To test the entirety of this prototype, our constellation mini-game will only activate if you walk back to the NPC after collecting both stars. However, you won't be able to go back from the platforming scene if you jump off the block, so make sure to return before exploring the 3rd environment!
Hi! We're a team of 5 looking to add an additional programmer.
Our team currently consists of a designer/programmer, a programmer/composer, two artists, and a writer. We're working on a game with both 2D side-scrolling platforming plus a 2D side-scroller with narrative elements using GDscript.
We're a pretty active group and passionate about this project so please reach out if this is something you'd be excited to join!
