I tried that multiple times, didn't help. I've scrapped the game now and I'm making music for someone else's game.

no, unfortunately :( I've found someone I'll make the music of their game for.

cool! I'll hit you up now! I'll also send you a song I've made recently (if you're interested)

Hi, I love making music and have been doing so for a while. Since I can't think of an idea for a game with this theme now, I've decided to make the music for someone else's game! ^-^ Put ur Discord username in if you want to as that's the easiest way for me to communicate with you.

I can't do that.

I guess that makes sense, but I dunno. When I do the art, I just lose that spark to work on the game instantly. Doing the art for this game makes me want to quit, especially now that I'm working on the second dialogue scene.

that's the problem. There aren't any mechanics I need to add. this game is just a simple visual novel game so there aren't any real mechanics other than pressing space bar to go through bits of dialogue and the occasional choices, so much of what I have to do is art, which takes a lot of time.

I only have 4-5 days left to finish this and I have to do all this art which takes so long and my motivation is non-existent but I also don't wanna scrap the game. What can I do?? I've decided I think I might scrap this idea and try something else that could work with a different art style which takes less time to make assets with ^_^ While I hold the original idea of a visual novel set in 1968 of a girl who becomes disillusioned with her home town and seeks peace in a dreamland so dear, I just can't finish something like that in such a short amount of time.

Thank you!! I wish you good luck on development of your game!

I've come up with the idea of it being a visual novel-esque game inspired by the movie Wonderwall from 1968. It'll be about a girl living in a dreary town but she sees nothing wrong with it until one day she feels odd feelings of discontentment and seeks peace. I won't spoil too much of what I want the game to be about.

I've come up with an idea now :) I won't spoil too much but it's gonna be a visual novel of some kind! ^_^ It's set in 1968. Also, the music will be inspired by the album "Wonderwall Music."

yeah! I wanna go for a psychedelic aesthetic for this game, but trying to make that work with the theme ain't gonna work :c I'll try something tho and hopefully I can make a game out of it ^^

I have no ideas of what to make based on this theme, no matter how I interpret it. Is anybody else feeling that way too? EDIT: I've come up with an idea now ^^

That's kind of the point, innit? I made that so then it makes you think "Oh, this is gonna be easy peasy!" and then the waves go by and it becomes really hard. Also, yeah, I probably should've made it so that your weapon is equipped from the start... hmm

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Also with the tanks, very accurate game, I know ^^

I am a sucker for 8-bit games, and this one especially. It's quite a fun little game, 2 things I don't like are the music as it gets a little repetitive after a while and those BATS, I HATE THEM. Anyway, good game I'd say. If you could also rate my game, that'd be pretty cool :).

I feel like if it had music and sounds, it would be great, but for now, it is a good game. Pretty fun, would play again.

Yeah, I enjoyed it a bit, I especially like the detail of the music changing if you were trespassing or had been seen. Overall, quite a nice little game.

thank you! as for the stereo thing, just a little joke I felt like making.

I love this game. There isn't much wrong with this game. I also love the sound when the emoji punches you.

I love the art style, I'm a sucker for pixel art. The sound effects are a bit repetitive and there is a bug where if you die, you can't move when you respawn. Overall, I think the game was fine. Would probs play again.

I love pixel art and 8-bit stuff, but this game is way too hard, and tbh it doesn't fit with the theme too well, still, a good game and the idea of pushing these blocks and stuff into the void is a good puzzle. Also, the sound effects are so good.

That was fine, it was quite short but I can see how it fits the theme, it was a bit silent though. Overall, it was A-OK :)

I quite enjoyed myself playing this, real doom energy. Something I must point out are the hurting sounds from the player, I don't like those, other than that, good game this.

Sure will!

I'll be sure to polish it a bit more soon

This game is really hard, I think I'm just bad at video games though. Anyway, good game.

Thank you, I'll be sure (once the voting period is over obviously) to make the game harder.

I quite liked the game but I didn't get particularly far in the game lmao

Wasn't particularly fun, nor did it really fit the theme. I'm aware that you didn't have time to fully implement the concept of diving deeper whilst fighting monsters (as it says on the page here). Overall, it was alright.

It doesn't entirely fit the theme in my opinion. Decent game :)

The Imagery of a Tree throwing a flaming seed is really fun

it might be because your cursor wasn't over it, if that is the case, idk

yes, you do

it got a laugh out of me

that same sound effect when you kill them is a bit repetive after a while, it is very fun though

Good Pixel art, it hurts my head though, very complicated

There's no audio, good game though

oh dang... i'll try fixing it

I don't think that's a bug, because in certain worlds, the pool spawn rate is faster or slower so you might've gotten one of the slower spawn rates
