Hi there! I'm wondering if an organizer can answer this - I saw the rule "All games must be produced within the time frame of the challenge (development starts June 1st - and must be finished by October 31st), games made before 1st June are not permitted."
Is it okay if we started brainstorming / writing drafts + ideas / sketching concepts + art for a game already? There's a game I've been meaning to make for a while but I haven't started any actual development on (no final art, scripts, music, or code has been produced yet) and I thought it would fit this jam's theme nicely - was wondering if I could use that idea, or if I should come up with a new idea come June 1? I just don't want it to be unfair to people who only started brainstorming/writing during the jam.
Thank you so much! :)
I love this game! The art is beautiful and clean, the gameplay is engaging and feels nice to play, and the music is lovely as well. I like that you included the "fever" feature. The angler fish is the most fun to scale, in my opinion :D Also the fish look strangely happy to be eaten ;) kudos to the team, amazing work.
