Really cool game with an awsome concept. I managed to grab a friend and play a few games. Its decently fun and well polished. I liked how different attacks were better against different sizes. It was a bit frustrating how quickly some games ended. Dying after only a few hits kind of gets you out of the flow. Overall though this is pretty great and I always love to see multiplayer games for game jams!

Congrats on finishing a game! I like that you can change your size but it currently feels pointless to do so. If you'll make a post jam version you could try creating situations were the player has to grow/shrink or at least benefits from doing it. Having a strict time limit is stressfull and does make you feel like you're escaping an explosion which is good. However with these type of games a "Start" and "Try Again" button is certainly important to have.
This game is insanely cool! I love the idea of classical snake with power ups and enmies and just generally more complex mecanics. It feels awsome to play and is super polished. I wish the passive abilities were a bit stronger though. To me it felt like it was optimal to use the active abilities a lot and never grow too big as the passives werent that useful and the active abilites would often times lead to you getting more parts that can be used activley. Overall this games super fun!
Speedrunning this was actually really fun. You have some cool movement options and while it can feel clunky at times its also very satisfying when you perfectly dash through a gap. It would've been cool if there were more sections were you had to be big, because currently I feel like most of the time you just want to be small. Also when reseting the game your timer doesn't resest so I had to reload the game a few times.
My Highscore is 36.71
That’s very fair. The tutorial is very meh but the abilities are really important to succeed.
Essentially you have 2 abilities that you can select and use with right click. Fire Blast creates 5 burning tiles anywhere on the screen when you right click on a tile. However it requires 4 Power (The Flame icon on the left) and it must be used on a grass tile.
Stun Smoke: Right Click on a Fire Fighter with this ability and they will be stunned for 1 turn. This doesn’t require any power so it’s free to use and should be used as much as possible to prevent getting watered.
The concept of changing your size to make certain jumps easier/possible is really neat. The camera made it difficult to see sometimes and I also got softlocked multiple times which was a bit frustrating. The art looks good and the npcs were cool. This is certainly something that could be expanded upon!
I beat the game and it was really fun! However check points would have been nice (esepecially at the last level). There are a lot of ways to exploit the building system though I like how many ways there are to solve the levels. The art is cool and charming. The font could have been something more readable though. Overall a really cool experience!
I managed to get the game to run and it's really good, polished and well made. I love the fact that you grow and the things you consume also get bigger. The furthest I got was Level 3. The enemies were very hard to avoid and sometimes came out of nowhere which felt unfair. But it was fun navigating around them.
I belief there are ways to get scratch games running in the browser so you might want to look into that. It would definetley make the game more accessible.
Really cool concept! I find it very interesting to use the theme of the Jam to make a story game. The dialouge is well written and the art looks really nice. Sound effects and more music would have been cool.
When talking to Lena I unfortunately got this error when I tried to get more infos from her.
"Chianti Q" isn't valid Harlowe syntax for the inside of a macro call.Maybe you misspelled something? Also, as of 3.3.0, Javascript syntax is not allowed inside macro calls.
Feels like I can't continue because of this or maybe I am just missing something. Either way, reading through all the dialouge was very enjoyable :)
Very cool concept! I did manage to beat the entire game. I like, that the ability removal stations also serve as checkpoints, making the game not frustrating and I really enjoyed how keeping different abilities has different benefits. However, a lot of segments are very short, which makes sense in a 48 hour jam, but lead to a lot of abilities disapearing very quickly. Sound effects would have also been nice. Overall though, this is a fun game!
I like the idea! I've seen multiple flappy bird games in this jam but playing as the obsticales and still trying to make the bird get through is one of my favourite implementations. It's kinda addictive and nicely polished. I also like how every obstacle behaves differently so you also need to deal with that. However, I think the birds movement seems a bit random. Sometimes you just die because the birds movement was to extreme which felt frustrating. Overall though, cool game!
Very unqiue and cool idea! The beginning feels a bit tedious and after finishing the whole intro I got through a few floors. I like the fact that you can restart in the same floor in which you died but it still feels a bit frustrating to die so many times. The timer felt really unecessary to me, stressed me a lot and made me do small mistakes which constantly forced me to restart. Music and Sounds would have also been very nice. For a 48 hour jam though, this game has a lot of content. Good job!
Cool idea. I think the mouse movement is very clever, as it allows you to move multiple gohsts at the same time. However, you won't really need it, as the AI is pretty exploitable and having 3 ghosts is very OP. The game doesn't have a lot of replay value but I liked how close it was to actually being pac man. (Also the name is hilarious lol)
Very fun! Sadly unfinished. The UI is not very pretty and it wasn't explained what part of the UI stands for what. You can also serve the same customers multiple times which feels like an exploit. However, the physics are still very funny and feel good, the art looks nice, the music is amazing and the concept is cool.
Thx for your kind feedback! You're absolutely right. The character doesn't feel all that great (I was actually programming character movement during a 6 hour car drive, with no wifi or access to my other projects, so I kinda had to go with my gut). In the following year I'd like to look more into complex jump and run movement so I can easily and quickly create more advanced controlls.
If you wana chat some more about game dev and stuff, I'd love to. My Discord tag is pkmoritz :)
The game looks, sounds and feels amazing! The concept is brilliant and it's super polished. However punishing you for doing well on the first part, feels very frustrating. Not knowing which mini-games are failable and which aren't is also pretty annoying. I love the idea of the first half influencing the second, but doing well shouldn't turn the second half into a guessing game.
Besides that though, the game is fantastic! Super well made!
yeah I did reach and defeat the boss. The fight was also really well made and I always find it awesome when people have time to add things like boss fights in a 48-hour jam, even if it’s just a recreation of a very popular boss fight.
(I actually also wanted a Boss Fight in my game but didn’t have enough time to make one)
